Archer Blackwell and Needletooth Watch “Jurassic Park”
The time pirate, Archer Blackwell was sitting down on a rundown sofa with his trusty velociraptor, Needletooth, sitting right next to him like a dog next to its owner. He scooped some homemade popcorn into his mouth as the VCR played “Jurassic Park”.
“Okay, I take issue with how the movie portrays us velociraptors.” Said Needletooth, with a high pitched, scratchy voice coming from his communication collar, “First off, these velociraptors have no feathers whatsoever. Second, why are they so big? They should at least be the size of me yet these are big enough to size down a human? And why does the movie frame us as the bad guys? We velociraptors only attack when we’re scared or when we’re hungry.”
The dog-sized velociraptor turned to human companion.
“Gimme jerky.”
Archer reached over to grab some jerky for Needletooth.
“Don’t worry about the movie, Needletooth. These were made by people who want to entertain.”
“And that’s the problem; people are going to get the wrong impression about us. Also, why is it called ‘Jurassic Park’ when the majority of the dinosaurs in this movie are from the Cretaceous? Honestly this worse than that Don Bluth film you made me watch.”
Needletooth grabbed the jerky from Archer’s hand and started chewing on the tough dried meat.
The two watched as the movie reached its climax as one of the velociraptors is taken down by a Tyrannosaurus rex.
“Are you kidding me?! The movie ends with that?!”
“Well the movie has to let the humans escape.” Said Archer.
“But with a Tyrannosaurus rex?! Not only did they have to kill off the velociraptors making the larger predator, who’s just as hungry, look like the hero, but they pulled a Deus ex Machina just to let the humans escape?!”
“I’m surprised you even know what a Deus ex Machina is.”
“I officially hate this movie.” The velociraptor snarled as he ruffled his feathers.
“Oh take it with a grain of salt, Needletooth. If the people behind that movie knew you like I do, I’m sure they’d give you better representation.”
“Doubt it.”
The little velociraptor stretched his winged arms out and let out a big yawn.
“I’m tired. I’m going to bed.”
“Alright, Needletooth, see you in the morning.”
Needletooth scampered off to his little bed as he circled around getting a comfortable spot before lying down.

Rebecca. The main protagonist of “World of Eras”. She is what is called a Timeless: part of a group of people who’s ancestors left the time periods they were from to live in the Sands of Time as nomads. While intelligent, she’s rather naive about the world outside the sands of time.
Voice claim: Janet Varney
