Today, January 29th, is the Lunar New Year! Also known as the Chinese New Year, today marks the end of the Year of the Dragon and the start of the Year of the Snake.

For today, Jared letterpress printed a linoleum cut of a California kingsnake. This linocut was borrowed for this video and was recently engraved by a colleague who works with Jared. The text below reads, “Year of the Snake” and was typeset in 30 point Caslon font. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press.
