I'm just so grateful for this community. Without finding the word for it and this place where it's okay to openly express love for hurt/comfort tropes, little Red would probably still be fretting over whether or not this was normal. Hiding her sketchbook, hiding her stories. When I was a kid, I asked myself, "Why is it that when I create, the characters I love suffer the most?" If I hadn't found you, I'd still be wondering.
I would be a lot more uninformed and scared of medical topics because I wouldn't have cause to research them. I would be less understanding of how hurt affects people, sleeping worse because I didn't have daydreams to wind down, shying away from characters I would have enjoyed, and so many stories I loved writing, stories I found therapeutic or comforting to write, wouldn't exist! Fewer healthy outlets and a lot less fun. I don't even know who that person would have been but I'm glad I don't need to find out. I'm really glad to know you

Power Source Whumpee
Power Source Whumpee my beloved..
Whumper carefully crafting a machine to fit Whumpee's body and hold them in place.
Whumpee hooked up to the machine nearly all the time, only allowed a four hour break to sleep each night.
The power being extracted by hundreds of needles attached to wires, sticking out of Whumpee like a pincushion.
Whumper telling Whumpee that this is their only purpose and to just be good and fulfill it. Whumpee technically not needing to eat, as the produce their own power, so Whumper doesn't even bother to feed them, causing Whumpee to feel lightheaded and dizzy.
Whumper using the power they extracted from Whumpee to hurt their friends, blasting them back with the same energy Whumpee had once used to fight Whumper.
A reluctant Whumper placing a damp cloth on Whumpee's sweating forehead, saying they're sorry, but this is necessary for the plan.
Bonus: Bad Caretaker
Caretaker defeating Whumper, about to pull Whumpee out of the machine, but then realizing how useful the power is, and thinking about how much their city needs it.
The hope in Whumpee's eyes fading when Caretaker, who was about to release them from the machine's grip, steps back and turns it on again.
Caretaker guilt tripping Whumpee, telling them that if they were to be released, a whole city would suffer in darkness.
Caretaker thanking Whumpee for their involuntary sacrifice, telling them it won't be forever, but it sure seems to last that long.
Caretaker telling Whumpee that this is what they were made for, sounding just like Whumper now.

Whumper decides to leave whumpee out in the cold to punish them. They don’t realize just how cold or long it has been and become panicked when they realize whumpee has developed hypothermia. Whumpee wakes up in whumper’s bed, wrapped tightly against their chest as they try to restore whumpee’s temperature.

It’s common to see whumpers that enjoy making their whumpee sad/angry/afraid. That’s pretty natural for whumpers.
But what about a whumper that (also) enjoys making their whumpee happy?
Whumper loves how Whumpee’s eyes light up when they’re given a plate of their favorite food (after being starved for days)
Whumper loves watching Whumpee sing along to their favorite songs playing from the radio Whumper bought them (to help them cope with long periods of isolation)
Whumper loves the peaceful look on Whumpee’s face as they enjoy a good book Whumper gave them (and could take away at any time)
Whumper loves how soft Whumpee’s hair and skin look after a warm shower (the first in weeks)
Whumper loves how Whumpee slowly dances around their cell to the tune of a music box (it was a gift for not struggling despite the pain)
Whumper loves the sigh of relief from Whumpee as Whumper applies the burn cream (to the wounds Whumper made with a red hot poker)
Whumper loves pulling Whumpee close to them, curled up on the couch as they watch Whumpee’s favorite film (they notice Whumpee shivering slightly in their hold)
Whumper loves making Whumpee happy (as long as they know Whumper could take it back whenever they want)

Introduction Post
Hi whump community!
I'm Wintertime Whump, a new whump creator. I will mostly do prompts and drabbles, but may do longer works occasionally! I will also post my OCs and their lore :)
This is a whump writing account and will contain darker topics. If you do not like those, this account may not be for you. I will put individual trigger warnings on posts that contain the following: SA, heavy drug use, gore, death.
Here's some of my favorite tropes!
Hurt/comfort, magical whump, powered whumpee, winged whumpee, villain whumpee, captivity, guilty / reluctant whumper, intimate whumper, soft / caring whumper, rescue, whumpee x caretaker, whumper turned whumpee, whumpee turned whumper, caretaker turned whumper (basically any type of role reversal)
If you want to be mutals or tagged on posts let me know!

There's no plot armor like "this character isn't allowed to die until I'm done torturing them" plot armor.
