Simon groans. “It’s really hard! What am I supposed to say? Hey, remember how we had one last night together and we said goodbye and I never gave you a birthday present and then the school closed? Well. Can you pretend the breaking up part didn’t happen to get some assholes off my back?”

“Maybe the difficulty of writing the message should clue you in to the badness of the plan,” Rosh argues.

Thinking about scenarios of Wilmon being approached by one of those tiktok/ instagram accounts asking if they’re a couple and if so, how did they meet (à la @ meetcutesnyc or @ meetcutesldn). Canon-divergent or non-royal AU where they’ve been together for a bit and Wille isn’t out yet, but has been ready for a while and has been contemplating together with Simon how best to do it. When the interviewer comes over to ask, Simon opens his mouth to say no, but his eyes dart over to Wille in shock when he says confidently and happily that yes, they are. Simon tries to hide the fact he immediately wants to cry with pride (and a bit of shock because that’s his impulsive Wille) whilst the interviewer asks them the other questions, but the comments pick up how in awe he looks. The interviewer asks what their favourite thing about each other is (Wille: well obviously absolutely everything and I couldn’t possibly choose, but if I have to… his integrity, his kindness, his beautiful soul, his— the interviewer has to cut him off from continuing forever. Simon (barely keeping it together): his bravery, his heart) and what they’re most looking forward to in the future (everything, anything, as long as it’s together)
