This is Arizona Nights by Stewart Edward White, published by Grosset & Dunlap/The Outing Publishing Company (New York) in 1907.
This book contains three parts (I: Arizona Nights, II: The Two-Gun Man, III: The Rawhide) and one printed illustration of an outlaw being shot in a scuffle.
The back pages display ads for various Grosset & Dunlap books including Stories of Rare Charm by Gene Stratton-Porter, a number of novels by Myrtle Reed, Delightful Tales of Old New York by Amelia E. Barr, Novels of Southern Life by Thomas Dixon Jr., a list of charming books for girls, and a list of reissues of some of the "great literary successes of the time".

hey y'all!! i know i've made a lot of posts in the past about coming back to studyblr, but i finally am. after a very stressful semester, i've taken a lot of time to work on myself and figuring out what systems work best for me. i'll be posting a lot more now with studying and self-improvement as my main focus.
new posts will be about:
balancing mental health and studying
balancing working a job and studying
my university information journal!
organization charts for deciding on universities to apply to
language study posts for Spanish (more advanced, been studying this for almost 6 years) and Russian (very beginner)
current event studies and how they began/evolved throughout history
tips on making studying more fun for yourself
making time for yourself and your hobbies/detaching yourself from your work
"how to be polite in 15 minutes" program about business etiquette and real world skills
another 100 days of productivity but condensed and some monthly challenges
dark academia aesthetic posts
my "how to be polite in 15 minutes" program:
"how to be polite in 15 minutes" is a program i am working on to educate others on proper business etiquette and skills (such as sending thank you letters, writing voicemails, and other practical skills). this program will include videos in English and Spanish (with captions in English, Spanish, and hopefully a number of other languages such as French or Mandarin), activities, and digital seminars among other things. along with this, i will also be discussing my process and how i started my program with tips on how to create your own programs!!

from a German native speaker: in my opinion Russian is the far more beautiful language. however, if this is of importance for you, also think about how useful either of these languages would be for you. maybe one day you'll want to work in a field where German would be useful, idk. good luck!
Thanks for the advice!

Hey y’all! To all the Langblrs/language learners out there, which language would y’all recommend me learning? I’m a native English speaker with experience learning Spanish and a bit of experience learning Latin Script-based languages like German, Swedish, French, and Bokmal Norwegian and languages with other scripts like Korean, Greek, and Japanese.
I’m stuck between learning German (which was fairly easy for the three months I worked at it since it’s fairly similar to English since they’re both West Germanic languages) or Russian (which would be a lot harder since it’s in Cyrillic script and is very different from English), so thoughts?
I’d love to hear from other German/Russian Langblrs, feel free to contact me through DMs, asks, comments, etc.

These are some really great study tips!!
Another tip I have for motivation is to associate things that you enjoy with classes/subjects you don't. For example, I've never been too keen or Algebra or Math in general. This class is a really important class though, and I'm required to take it and do well in it. To convince myself to study and do the homework, I've started doing it after school in my favourite place in the library (these little desks facing the woods and the science buildings with all of these posters plastered on the window in front of it). I take textbook Studyblr QualityTM notes for every section using my favourite pen. I'd just sit and work in the library for an hour or so listening to Conan Gray and the Lumineers and after some time, it started to be less of a burden. It seems so stupid and simple, that a .10 blue pen and a poster on Russia's Ethnic Groups could bring me that much joy, but it really helps with being productive. Finding little things to love is such an important part of life and it really makes a difference in reforming your habits and mindset.
studying tips *✭˚・゚✧*・゚*✭˚・゚✧*・゚*
alright. so you don’t want to study?? well the heard truth is that you’re going to have to if you want to do well in school. if i’m not feeling up to it, i like to remember why i’m doing it. we have the privilege of learning, so use it to your advantage. i’m working hard for my future. that school you want to get into? that dream job?also, treat every class you’re studying for as if it’s your absolute favorite class. you’re not always going to like the class you’re in or the teacher who teaches it. but it doesn’t matter, because you’re going to have to do well in it to achieve your goals!! try to actually enjoy what you’re learning. go on studyblr and find people who are learning the same subject. use outside resources to help you learn.
get out the essentials. this includes all of the papers you need to review and your laptop. put away all distractions and get a glass of water next to you to stay hydrated.
plan ahead. as soon as your teacher announces there is going to be a test, break down the topics you need to review and schedule time to study these in your calendar. this way, you won’t have to think twice about what you need to do later and save time.
don’t cram. seriously. make sure to start studying well before the day of the test. you don’t have to study for hours a day, because that’s a lot more than we can handle. thirty minutes a day doesn’t seem like very much but when you do this for a week, it adds up to a lot! this is a lot more effective than cramming in four hours in the middle of the night before. (you will thank yourself later).
don’t just passively read over the textbook. this isn’t very efficient and won’t help you remember the information as easily. try reading aloud is a lot more effective! you can explain the content to yourself or to a friend. this way, you’ll be able to see if you actually understand it. if you can’t explain it, then go back and review your notes. also, practice practice practice! flashcards/quizlet are your best friend for vocabulary. do practice problems or redo past assignments.
ask questions when you’re unclear about something to your teachers or friends! it’s the worst walking into an exam without understanding the major concepts you need to know. this may not be offered to everyone, but at my school, my teachers hold after school hours for students to work and ask questions. take advantage of it when teachers are open to helping you!
study on the go! whether you’re on transportation or waiting for a class, take out your notes or flashcards and read over them! you can make recordings of yourself reading these notes to listen whenever!! this will save you valuable time for when you get home.
take breaks in your study sessions. every 30-40 minutes, i recommend relaxing for about ten minutes (don’t spend too long on breaks or else you might not get back to studying). you can put on a face mask, read a book, go outside for a walk, stretch, or whatever you like! this gives your brain a break to process the information you’ve just reviewed! but if you feel that you don’t need one, don’t force yourself to stop.
reward yourself! give yourself a little treat when you finish studying to motivate yourself!
remember that learning is hard! it may seem overwhelming, but if you try your best and have patience, things will get easier. the time you put in now will be worth it, even if it doesn’t seem as thought you’re making progress. these good grades will culminate into a really good gpa!! however, don’t focus all of your energy and time into studying. this will drive you straight into a burnout. It’s important to have balance, to make time to do some self care and socialize.
