Update now we are in March:
January was a success. Trying a couple deity candles.
February mostly successful. Cleaned up my witchy corner shelf thing. I don't know how important it will be in the future but it's clear ish. The doom piles are real.
I rarely actually post here. But I'm making general goals for my practice this year.
Monthly themes of stuff to research and try and see if I want to keep them or if I want to move on.
January: spell candles. Mostly to try them out and make some different ones and types. My partner uses one for their creative space but I want to branch out.
February: altars and grimoires. Mostly bc mine needs a cleaning and organizing again after the new stuff I got over the holidays. But also seeing what works for me.
March: wards. I see them and the circles and stuff all the time. I just want to do more research and see what would work best for me.
April: sigils. I've dabbled and used them. But I want to spend time finding my own personal style and flair to them.
May: garden. Preparing and getting ready for the season. Deciding which herbs I want to focus on. Seems like a good building up from the other stuff I'll be looking into.
June: deities. Figuring out who/what this looks like for my practice. Got lots of shadow work for this one.
July: crystals. Sorting out what's my favorite and uses and how I want them used in my practice. And finally going through and getting sorted what they're used for.
August: teas. Hopefully herbs will be thriving and I can get some stuff drying and getting ready for winter.
September: tinctures and salves. One of my favorite things to make. Making sure I've got things ready for winter. Deciding which plants will come inside for the season.
October: recipes. Kitchen witchery at its finest. Going through my recipes and making sure I've got everything where I want it.
November: tarot. Probably going through my decks and seeing what I keep and seeing if I can learn meanings a bit more.
December: yule log fire. I keep wanting to do it but it keeps not happening. This year. Immediately adding astrology to this as well. See if I can figure this ish out.

Hestia
The feeling of coming home after a long day, dropping your belongings at the door in exhaustion.
Being greeted with the scent of cinnamon pastries and a warm smile.
A tight embrace and the loving hand on your head as all of your worries and stress flow away from your body.
Acceptance, support, an ear to listen to your woes, and a wise mouth to guide you. Comfort in times when needed the most.
Patience, encouragement, and appreciation for the times where you couldn’t do much, but did something anyways.
Such love and care go into the people she speaks to.
Her presence is a warm blessing in many lives, and a place that finally feels like home for so many who have none.
Her ever-burning fire warms our very hearts and souls.
Hestia

Praise to glorious Hermes. Champion of the games. Slayer of Argos. Keeper of the flocks. Sheep-tending shepherd. Ram-bearer and keen-sighted watcher.

why some gods are more commonly worshiped than others
So, we all know that some deities are much more commonly worked with and worshiped than others, and most of us have our own ideas as to why. I think there’s a multitude of reasons, including the unsavory myths surrounding them, cultural bias, and lack of pop culture fame. However, the factor I want to talk about in this post is this: a lot of the less popular deities are deities with less obvious/direct impacts on our lives.
I’m going to go through each of the 12 Olympians (plus Hestia) and explain how I believe this impacts our view of them and how we can recognize and get closer to them in our everyday lives. I’m only doing the 12 Olympians because I am most familiar with the Hellenic pantheon and if I did every single deity in this post, it would take a million years. I might do other deities in the future if anyone is interested or I feel called to.

Pray to your gods of love and beauty while you take a shower. Pray to your gods of war before you help a friend move. Pray to your gods of good health and good fortune if you see a cold going around. Pray to your gods of night and dreams as you're laying down for bed.
Prayer does not have to belong to a traumatic Christian upbringing, nor is it a lesser practice when compared to any other ritual or spell.
Pray.
