Dusk - one of the most mesmerizing times of the day, with the moon emerging through the threads of cloud hanging in the grey-blue sky.

The sri lankan variation of Jungle babblers, or "Seven sisters" is a bubbly, cheerful troop of extravagantly chaotic birds.
They hardly stay still so capturing this was tedious with mosquitoes preying at my legs :)
P.S, please ingore the date as I took this yesterday (the camera's date/time was wrong)

Take your time to breathe in the fresh air of plants, flowers, and dewdrops - the breathtaking smell of life, the rays of light piercing into our lives, and the rejuvenation and spectrum of light as it shines through the water.
Taken with a Samsung J4 with 13 megapixels, the clarity of the drops took a while to capture, yet it is all in the eye and determination of the camera-holder!

let's just say I took advantage of the nighttime power cuts, and the art of skillfully shaking my coloured pen - just observe the mix of colours produced!

Moving light - in the darkness. This is art during a crisis, when electricity shortages run free. Yet, we find an inner peace observing the colours a light-up pen can produce.

Welcome to the Randenigala Dam.
Consisting of a clay core, the dam, situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, is home to a beautiful reservoir and breathtaking scenery.
It is also the largest reservoir under the Accelerated Mahaweli Development Programme and its reservoir has the largest capacity in our country.
A point to make note of in the third picture I captured is that along the railing, there will most likely be a clan of monkeys staring at you beseechingly for food!

The Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihara, the site of Lord Buddha’s first visit to our country, Sri Lanka.
Enshrined here, is an invaluable token offered by the Buddha when asked for something to worship in his absence; a lock of his hair. When looking at the pictures I captured, I felt a sense of calm wash upon me. This Vihara resonates with the beauty of Buddhism.
In addition to this, the relic of the Buddha’s neckbones has been deposited here.
The Vihara is indeed a sacred place to visit...it is a place where you can vow on doing only good towards yourself, your family, and society, and truly reminisce on what the Great Lord Buddha taught us.

The Moon smiles at “The Kotmale Mahaweli Maha Seya”, one of the largest stupas in Sri Lanka.
As in the name, it is located in Kotmale, Sri Lanka, and overlooks the Kotmale reservoir. When I visited it, the sun had already set, and it was a place of tranquility, silence, and understanding. It was the perfect time to take a picture of its grandeur.
I decided that capturing the second image would display the valuable gems stored inside a golden mini stupa, with a painting of deities in the background.
The Maha Seya also contains a valuable Topaz gem placed on it, another one of its features. Consider it a valuable visit when you are here in Sri Lanka.
