Read it once in your life, and never regret it. ✋✅
Do you feel bored of the posts asking for help from Gaza? You’re right, but imagine our situation as we live this war day after day for 13 months. Do you think we’re tired too?!!
Asking for help is not easy; it’s very embarrassing, especially for a family that used to live a decent life. My husband and I completed our university education with distinction, worked in respectable jobs, and were used to helping others, not asking for help. But the war has turned our lives into a nightmare; we lost our home, our sources of income, and even our ability to provide the simplest of needs.
I'm Hanan. For the past 13 months, we have been struggling to get healthy food and medicine for my child, whose weak body was attacked by infection, and for my elderly mother-in-law, who fell into a coma for several days and almost lost her life due to anemia caused by our inability to provide healthy food, as prices have risen more than 10 times. Now, we have run out of everything. While you are reading my message, my family and I are trying to survive amidst all kinds of suffering.
What was once a beautiful dream and reality has now become a nightmare. Starvation is one thing, but starving, freezing, and being forced to flee in the middle of the night when tanks suddenly arrive in your area, running for your life and your family’s life under fire, leaving behind everything you built over the years, and returning after 5 months of suffering in displacement and tents to find that your home, where you lived your happiest moments, is nothing but rubble, is something completely different! 💔😓
youtube
Can you feel my broken heart now? Can you imagine what I’m going through at this moment? Everything I am living now cannot be described with words, and every moment here is filled with pain and fear. We desperately need your help, as we live in hope of escaping Gaza to save our lives and live safely away from the explosions.
youtube
You might feel powerless to stop this genocide, but you can certainly save my family. We appeal to your compassionate hearts to help us escape this catastrophe, which the human mind cannot even fathom.
Please share our campaign with your family and friends. This will help us reach those who can help us directly. Be the reason to bring hope back to our hearts ♥️✨

Past and present in one image
My family was stable, we lived in peace, and now all we know is the sounds of explosions and the smell of corpses in the streets. We are escaping death every moment. We struggle to get food and drink, as the video showed in a previous post. Video link:
My eldest son Zain's first year at school was a joy for his school, friends and teachers. His life was like the life of any child who dreams of everything beautiful.
My second son, Yahya, was in his first year of kindergarten, and he would wake up early, happy to go to his friends and play.
Or do they now wake up to the sounds of planes and explosions and feel ashamed when they stand in line to get food or water? A terrible difference between our lives in the past and the present. A year between our stable life and the life of war, no education, no games, no life, no security, and no source of income. How long, world, where is humanity, where are the rights of my children? I hope you will donate. As much as possible, my family and I want to leave Gaza. I want my children to have a life that suits them My friends, donate as much as you can.
Post my story. Your friends may be able to help my family and donate or spread our story. I trust anyone who has a heart and humanity.

We need to raise €3000 This is to buy a tent worth €1500 The rest of the amount is for living purposes
We are approaching winter, and the weather becomes very cold at night, and the tent is not suitable for living and can withstand the rain. We need to buy a new tent to protect my children from the rain and the cold of winter.
Without your help, I will not be able to buy a new tent because buying a tent is very expensive and I cannot afford the cost.
In addition, the costs of living are very difficult, and I am unable to provide my family’s needs because everything is expensive, including food, clothing, and drink. All of that requires money, and I cannot afford it.

Hey, the ACLU is getting people to send letters to your Reps to have Congress pass the No Kings Act.
This act would make constitutional amendments to ensure that even sitting presidents are held liable for their actions. That NOBODY is above the law.
Their goal is 150k messages sent and at the time of writing this they're about 2.1k off from that goal!
ACLU gives you a prefilled message that you can edit to send to make the process easier, and will send it out for you.
This only takes a few minutes!

Rise August 2024 Day 13: Hamato Atsuko
Summary: Leo and Raph have a short, tense conversation about their views on Hamato Atsuko.
A/N: Hey, so Leo with abandonment issues because of an absentee father and utter lack of self-esteem. ‘Tis delicious writer chow. I didn’t go at it directly but man I love the angst.
Raph sat on the couch, playing Animal Crossing. Leo was upside-down on the couch next to him, scrolling through his socials (or ‘so-shells,’ as Mikey put it). Donnie was out scavenging or stealing computer parts. Mikey had holed himself up in the dojo. Raph had been surprised at first, until he realized it was where Mikey went to meditate.
Raph sort of wanted to get up and train, but it felt weird to be in a room where Mikey was actually holding still. Even weirder that he could be talking to their family and having whole conversations. Not bad-weird, just…weird. Raph waffled back and forth between wanting to talk to them, too. He wasn’t even sure who he’d talk to.
Well. He’d want to talk to two people, actually.
He glanced down at Leo. “Do you think Mikey’s talking to regular-Gram-Gram?”
“Who?” Leo asked, still scrolling.
“You know, Splinter’s mom. Our grandma. Just not, like, fifty times great-Gram-Gram.”
“Oh.” Leo kept scrolling. His tone had gone flat.
Raph fiddled absently with his phone. “I wonder if she lives in Karai’s village. Mikey said it’s beautiful, with lots of trees and ponds and stuff.”
Leo was staring determinedly at his phone. “Who cares if she’s there, too?”
“I do! And I think Dad would care.”
“Whatever.”
Raph poked Leo in the forehead. “What’s with you?”
“I just don’t think Dad would care that much,” Leo said coldly, swatting him away. “You told us about the memory. She ditched him.”
Raph winced. “You can still love someone who hurts you. I saw her when I went into Dad’s memories. She looked like the choice to leave him was really hard for her.”
Leo’s tone was ice. “Yeah, but she still made it.”
“What if she’s sorry?”
“What?”
“What if she regrets it? The Dark Armor was put together anyway. It might have happened sooner if she’d stayed with him, but she could’ve helped deal with it. Maybe she’s sorry. Maybe she wishes she’d stayed.”
Raph’s heart hurt thinking about it. Maybe it was his built-in big-brother instincts. The idea of family hurting themselves over dumb mistakes made him want to reach out and hug her. Maybe he really should get Mikey and Draxum to teach him how to meditate.
Leo sat up sharply, legs still over the back of the sofa. “What’s with you and your happy-ending fairy tale? She left, Raph. She never came back.”
“What, like you almost never came back?
Leo’s eyes were unreadable. “Don’t do this, Raph.”
“I’m not. You made a really hard choice for a really good reason.”
Leo rolled off the couch and stood. “Do you hate me?”
“No!” Raph stood, dropping his phone. “Leo, no. I could never hate you.”
“Then why are you bringing it up? We’re not the same! She made a choice based on a hypothetical. I made a choice about an active apocalypse! It was right there in front of me, Raph! It’s a little different than just leaving Dad for who-knows-why to go and do who-knows-what!”
Raph fidgeted. “I don’t think knowing would make a difference.”
“You’re right. She left. That’s it. That’s all we know about her.”
“We know why she left.”
Leo stepped back. “Why are you so insistent on defending her?! We don’t even know her! She left Dad when he was a kid, raised by someone to be a living weapon against a five-hundred-year prophecy that might never have happened! He was raised to be a weapon and she wasn’t there!”
“Hey, hey. Raph’s sorry. I wasn’t trying to make you mad.” He moved forward, tried to catch Leo’s wrist.
Leo pulled free. “I’m not! I wasn’t! I don’t know why you brought this up. She left. Didn’t come back. The end.”
“She was there when we fought the Shredder.”
“She was DEAD, Raph!”
“Yeah,” he said quietly. Raph wished Mikey were here. It was weird seeing Leo get emotional and upset like that.
Leo made a disgusted sound and stalked towards the tunnels. “I’m going out.”
“I’ll go with you –”
“No. I just – want to blow off some steam.”
“Okay,” Raph said weakly. He wished he’d never said anything. “…Hey, Leo?”
“What.”
“Uh…nothing. You have any dinner requests for when Mikey gets home?”
“No. Whatever. You pick.”
“Okay.”
Great. It wasn’t a fight. It wasn’t not a fight.
Raph stood by himself. He still wasn’t used to the new sounds the wind and pipes made in their new lair. He hurried to the dojo. Mikey sat in a corner, legs crossed, eyes closed, floating half an inch off the floor. Raph was right, it was spooky to be in the same room with Mikey when he wasn’t bouncing off the walls.
He wrapped his fists anyway and went to work pounding sand. Literal sand – he’d burst their last sandbag a few days ago. Donnie was supposedly ordering another, but in the meantime, he’d made a tall, sturdy sandbox that Raph could punch down into.
The outing seemed to have done Leo good. He came home like nothing was wrong. Not the usual Faceman stuff, either. He whined about the declining quality of New York bodegas, lavished praise on Mikey’s cooking in hopes of additional dessert, and draped himself over Raph like a sleepy scarf to avoid doing the dishes. He seemed to have let it go entirely.
Raph still wasn’t sure what had set Leo off, but he was more than glad to put it behind them. He spared a passing thought for their paternal grandmother to wish her well. Then he focused on wrestling Leo into the bathroom to brush his teeth.

Urgent! Please help a father save his three young daughters from war
This family is very low on funds, with only €4,237 out of the €40,000 goal
I was reached out to by Ahed to make a post for his family. This fundraiser is vetted by Gazavetters, #229 on their spreadsheet
Ahed is a 33 year old father of three young girls with his wife Maisoon. Getting Ahed the funds to evacuate his family is very urgent because they have three children under the age of ten with them, who currently don’t have access to food, clean water, or medical treatment they need. They’re at risk of bombs, infectious illnesses, and starvation every day they remain in Gaza. every hour matters
Ahed’s daughters are the light of his life and his motivation to keep going, and he’s campaigning on here every day to keep them safe. In Ahed’s words, his daughter Fatima (9) is “the closest to my heart, and my little one.”, Iman (6) “The friendly, kind, and loving child who is loved by everyone”, and little Nour, only one year old: “Who did not live her life like other children, as she was born two months before the war”.
Imagine that you’ve just had a baby girl, and you look at her with so much love and imagine with excitement what a bright future she’ll have and how she’ll play with her siblings. And only two months later, your whole life is turned upside down, and you have to wonder every day how you’ll feed her and keep her safe.
This is what happened to Ahed and his wife when they should’ve been at their happiest with a newborn daughter, everything turned into a nightmare. Their apartment was destroyed in a bombing, they were displaced multiple times, and suddenly they were raising their beautiful daughters in a war zone.
Every hour in Gaza is dangerous. Please help get Ahed, Maisoon and their children to safety as soon as possible 🙏🏼 Every donation will bring them closer to a future where Fatima, Iman, and Nour can play together and go to school and rest and recover from what they’ve been through.
Please give Ahed and Maisoon peace where they don’t have to watch their children suffer from illness and malnutrition, the worst thing for a parent to experience.
Please let Nour experience what peace feels like.
Thank you for reading their story, if you’re not able to donate, please share so it can reach people who are able to.
Donate here to save their family

If by some miracle sweet potato Hitler doesn't win come the end of the week, this won't be necessary, but should he win here are some of the first things to be aware of or do.
If you know a trans person, no you don't. Respect them as best you can in private but you know nothing in public.
Be aware that TikTok will likely be banned, find new platforms to spread information. Fuck Twitter and what ever tiktok replacement he's working on.
Learn to Garden, even in winter so you can feed yourself should prices skyrocket
Get an air purifier. The Clean Air Act is likely to be stripped of its power with the EPA deregulated, air quality is going to suffer
Should you have kids, try to supplement history/social studies education. That's the first place they will attack, if you need help ask, history teacher will help
Try and do what you can to be aware of your health before January.
Help one another. That's the best way we can move forward and make change in the future.
