So two years ago I was so sad that Taylor Swift wasn’t playing Scotland on the Rep tour but then I went to Pensylvania to work on a Girl Scout camp. And who would’ve known T Swift was a Girl Scout back in the day and gave us free tickets??? But she did and two years ago today I got to go to the Rep tour which I didn’t think would be possible and it’s all because she decided to give back to Girl Scouts!
So thanks Taylor It was the best night!! And I so wanted to see you in Hyde Park this year.. but maybe next year!!

Just looking at my pictures from America in the summer and found all my T Swift ones!!
That time where I got free tickets from Taylor Swift in Philly just for working at a Girl Scout camp! I was so gutted when Scotland wasn’t on the tour but then to get free tickets with great seats I was so happy!!
Thanks again @taylorswift and GSEP!

Back again.
Hello, it’s been a while since I last blogged. I’m not even sure if anybody still reads these but I’ve been slacking on them anyway. The last time I wrote a post I was still in Australia, since then I spent two weeks in Fiji and flew back home to the cold. Now I’m at the stage where once again I’m worrying about my future. I have a job but not in PR and it’s got me wondering. Do I stay in this…

The Whitsundays.
We set of on the 5th September for 3 nights and 3 days of sailing. We left Airlie Beach at 7pm on the 5th and headed to Turtle Bay to anchor for the night. The next day we headed to Whitehaven beach to spend a couple of hours before heading up to the Inlet Head lookout which gave a beautiful view over Whitehaven beach. Once we were back on the boat we headed to Luncheon Bay to have our first…

First two weeks of the East Coast!
We started the East Coast adventure in Sydney. We climbed the harbour bridge, walked from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach, took a tour of the Blue Mountains and went to Toronga Zoo. We left Sydney on a night bus and headed to Coffs Harbour, we spent a day here and just had a nice relaxing day exploring and sitting on the beach. We then headed to Byron Bay where we hiked up to the lighthouse and…

Time to stop working and start adventuring again!
My 4 and a half months of Au Pair work is complete. I does not feel like I was there that long, and although it was hard work sometimes I’ve loved every second! I was there from when Imani was 5 months old and left when she was 9 almost 10 months old, I watched her learn to sit up by herself, I watched her learn to crawl, I got to witness her slowly becoming obsessed with food and start to…

World IBD Day.
May 19th is world IBD Day. If you have any purple clothing please wear it today to show support. I’ve written about my life with Crohn’s disease on this blog before but today I’m going to start from the beginning. My Crohn’s symptoms started a few months before I decided to get them checked out. My main symptom was stomach cramps, cramps that would happen constantly. I kept it to myself for a…

6 months in Australia.
I have been in Australia now for a little over 6 months. Those 6 months have gone very fast and I expect the next 6 will go just as fast. Over the past 6 months I have explored Melbourne, worked as an orange picker, a chilli picker, a watermelon planter and an Au Pair. I have visited Barooga, Cobram, Tocumwal, Townsville, Ayr, Byron Bay, Lismore, Lennox Head and Ballina. I had plans for those 6…

Farm work
After 3 days of organge picking, 2 days of chilli picking and 4 days of watermelon planting, I discovered farm work isn’t for me. I wanted to do farm work to have the option of coming back for a second year but while standing in a field in the middle of no where I decided I don’t want to come back for another year. This is my 7th time in Australia and after I’ve travelled the East Coast I will…

Living out of a suitcase
Packing for a year in Australia was hard for me. I felt like I had too many clothes but not enough at the same time. I have an online shopping addiction and always buy new clothes so living for a year with the same clothes is challenging to me. I’ve bought a couple of new things while I’ve been here but I’m trying to keep my budget for accommodation, food and experiences rather than buying…

Time to get to work.
The last few weeks we have spent time in the sun relaxing. We have been to wilsons prom, Philip island, Melbourne zoo and the beach! On Tuesday I turned 23 and although I’m half way across the world I still had a good collection of birthday cards and had a really good day. Now we have moved a few hours outside of melboune and we are now technically in New South Wales. It’s time for the holiday…

New year.
I’ve officially been in Australia for a month now. We’ve spent the month exploring berwick, where we are living, and the surrounding areas. We have been to botanical gardens, Arthur’s seat, the beach and the zoo to name a few. We got to experience a very hot Christmas and we’re planning to spend the new year in Melbourne city, which should be fun but also really busy. In the next couple of…

Australian wildlife
We took a visit to healsville sanctuary to visit all of the native Australian animals. Megan has never been to Australia before and so this was her first time seeing these animals! Unfortunately the Kangaroo enclosure was shut so we didn’t get to see any but we did see wallaby’s with joeys in their pouches! We also saw a few koalas sleeping in their trees, they seemed a bit camera shy and kept…

First week in Melbourne.
I’ve officially been in Australia, more specifically Melbourne, for a week now. I’ve finally got over the jet lag after waking up at 6.30am for the first few days! During this week we have been to Philip island. We saw some penguins in their nests, saw some very beautiful views and had dinner on the beach. We then had a couple of days where we sorted out Australian phone numbers and bank…
