like! people always reference pride & prejudice as the archetypal “normal girl falls for mysterious brooding antihero” story but they overlook the part where lizzy drags darcy so fucking hard he leaves town and then apologizes for talking to her the next time they meet even though they’re at his literal house

ok look, I’m loving the whole Page, Nelson and Murdock dynamic a lot but also... does this mean Karen’s no longer going to be a journalist? Karen’s discovery of journalism and her independence and her growing familial vibe with Ellison and following in Ben’s footsteps is one of the most satisfying things about the entire MCU. are they really just going to get rid of that, or??

Reasons I’m salty about the Sense8 finale:
the entire storyline with Rajan
seriously, Kala ending up with Wolfgang and Rajan was so ridiculous and forced and completely invalidated Kala’s entire storyline
the amount of screen time Rajan got compared to Capheus and Sun
the fact that Wolfgang was apparently unable to handle a gunshot wound after taking care of Felix who was injured even worse (and yes, I understand he was in pain, both physical and otherwise, but still)
the whole ‘no carbohydrates in the house’ thing because Lito may be dramatic but he’s not one to be worried about carbs when Wolfgang was in danger
the fact that Capheus was so excited to see Rajan, y'know the guy who sold expired medication to poor countries like Kenya
the lack of screen time for Capheus and Sun
how long Nomi and Amanita’s wedding was (don’t get me wrong, I loved the wedding but it was way too long)
Kala’s family wasn’t at the wedding (aside from Rajan, which again, makes no sense)
Nomi’s mother suddenly being chill after eating a pot brownie
the fact that Nomi’s parents were invited to the wedding at all (her sister makes sense but not her transphobic parents even though her dad finally referred to her as his daughter)
the result of Capheus’ election is never revealed
Sun’s storyline with her brother is never resolved
neither is Lito’s story about his acting and Iberian Dreams
the ending orgy included non-Senate Daniela (which implies she had actual sex with two homosexual men which is just so gross)
the unresolved issues that never even got mentioned
THE SLAUGHTER OF KALA’S CHARACTER AND STORYLINE JUST TO INCLUDE A POLY RELATIONSHIP THAT MADE NO SENSE AND ADDED NOTHING TO THE ENDING

You know those movies about those little nerd boys who get with really hot girls, and those girls eventually learn to settle for a little nerd boy because he’s kinda nice sometimes? Propaganda.

Bottom line: Rajalagang is not healthy poly rep and it does an unforgivable disservice to Kala’s character.

Sense? What, like quantum physics? Like a particle that can be here and not here? Or sense like gravity? A force that no one knows why exists. Only that if it didn’t exist if there wasn’t this mysterious attraction this pull between objects then none of this would exist either. Thank God for gravity.

Do you ever cry because Wolfgang has spent a lifetime thinking he’s alone and a monster and now he has a family that loves him so much they dropped everything and essentially started a war the second he was in trouble because I’m over here drowning in my tears

Can we talk about the inconsistency in Capheus’s arc? Look how betrayed and devastated he was to learn that Rasal Pharma shipped out expired drugs to Kenya. Now look at how thrilled he is to see Rajan.
Excuse me?
Rajan may have changed his business practices after Kala called him out, but to see a man whose storyline in S1 centered on the difficulty to obtain proper drugs for his dying mother suddenly embrace the man who was responsible for this plight? Fuck this.
Capheus symbolized resilience. He taught us to love each other despite evil around us. He taught us sacrifice, devotion, and courage. He was an incredibly potent and valuable character in Seasons 1 and 2. In the Special, all we see is a jokester. He was done a serious disservice.
I’m sorry, but if Lana conceived “love conquers all” to mean blind, unconsidered forgiveness for people who hurt us, then that is a terrible message.

Listen, I love Sense8 with all of my heart and I still think it is THE best show ever created but this is why I have a problem with the way the KalaxWolfgangxRajan relationship played out in the finale.
As an Indian girl growing up in a western world there has been zero to little representation of me in western media. Kala was the first character that was MY representation. I related to so many aspects of her life and I FINALLY found a character I could identify with. Her struggle of entering into a loveless marriage is a REAL STRUGGLE that many Indian women go through. Having to choose between familial obligations and following my heart is problem I face every single day and for the first time in Western media I saw that play out in the most beautifully told story.
A lot of you seem to believe that Kala fell in love with Rajan because she realized he was a “good man”. The thing is, my mom also married a “good man”; a man that she did not love but still treated her right and she has been unhappy for her whole life. I know this because she has told me this herself. And sure she does love my dad in a way but it’s only because of all that they’ve been through together.  I don’t think any of you realize how unhealthy it is to enter into a relationship without real love. I grew up not able to emotionally connect with anyone because I never received that from my parents (not to mention all the other screwed up parts of my life).
And it’s not that I have anything against polyamory, I totally believe that done right, it can be a beautiful thing. But this scenario so completely out of character for ALL THREE characters. It completely disregards both Rajan and Kala’s cultural upbringing and it dilutes the intense passion in which both Kala and Wolfgang love each other. AND IT UNDERMINES KALA’S WHOLE STORY ARC. SHE WAS NEVER IN A LOVE TRIANGLE and to reduces Kala’s struggle into just that is disrespectful to a whole culture of women who have to bury their desires, dreams and hopes in order to satisfy others. Also, Rajan is a great dude that deserves to have someone love him the way Kala and Wolfgang love each other.
For a show like sense8 that’s filled so many complex supernatural/sci-fi elements, the thing that grounds the show and makes it work is the realness of the characters. Nothing about the KalaxWolfgangxRajan scenario seemed real, it felt forced and unnatural and as much as I completely adore the show, I have to say that I am disappointed. Kala was supposed to be the character that represented me but through the course of finale she became someone else. (Seriously how hard is it to have one damn conversation??????????)
P.S. Despite my rant, I still think the Wachowskis are complete geniuses and I’ll always be grateful to them for creating this absolutely beautiful and magnificent show.
P.P.S. THIS SHOW DESERVES A THIRD SEASON ALL FIVE SEASONS

sun kicked mun’s ass when they were teenagers and he’s been fascinated by her ever since, so he immediately wanted to help when she was being railroaded by the entire justice system. has a relationship ever had a better foundation than that? jk i know the answer is no.
