My grandma was in a relationship with Elon Musk and she (my grandma) made my whole family go to this island where he was testing stuff and basically it ended up like Jurassic Park but with robots and really weird tech.

for all i love the ides of march memes, something to remember today is that a) killing Caesar wasn't about overthrowing a tyrannical dictator and b) it ultimately didn't save the republic.

a) Caesar was a well liked leader among the common people. he distributed food to the populace, land to his soldiers, and it looked to them like he protected the borders in Gaul. the average person in Rome didn't really care if they were ruled by a senate or a dictator, so long as their lives were tolerable. the senate didn't kill Caesar for the people, they did it for themselves. it was just about putting the power back in the hands of many autocrats, rather than one.

b) Caesar's assassination directly led to TWO civil wars, with Augustus, who inherited Caesar's name, money and soldiers, coming out on top becoming the first emperor. all the damage that was done by subsequent power-mad emperors was his legacy. but if Caesar had just grown old and died in his bed, the republic probably would have reformed in his wake.

in conclusion, if you're gonna violently kill a bad politician, i support you, but please keep the energy up after that and make sure society as a whole gets better, instead of just letting someone else step in to fill the vacuum and continue their shitty legacy.

or, you know, use your access to democracy, which the common Romans did not have, and vote tyrannical politicians out. then make it stick by doing something continuously to help out on the ground.

I love Sadie but I am concerned about this, I know the "MJ is a redhead" fans are gonna try and push Sadie as the leading lady and love interest for mcu!Peter/spiderman and use her character as a way to erase and diminish Zendaya as leading lady and love interest. I refused to let this become another repeat of snowbarry and Caitlin Snow vs Iris West and westallen in The Flash

and even if Sadie isn't playing another MJ/Gwen and that the rumors of her playing Jean Grey are true, she's still a pretty white gal that certain fans are willing to ship with their white fave over the canon black love interest

we did fairly ok??? like I think we're seventh in chesepeake rn??? it's pretty amazing, we got more points in one comp than last year's two comps combined but fingers crossed for our next one...

knowing your robotics teams is weeks behind schedule and being stressed as fuck is taking years off of my life

the amount of cad i've done this past month and a half, i swear. also if i hear the words, "the cad is broke" i will combust (can you tell i'm losing my sanity?") also building something and realizing that things are changing and having to take it apart 😭

but i love robotics, it's my favorite extracurricular, nothing beats it 🙂‍↕️

im so scared for next year, we have like 7-8 people in our cad department (6 if we count only full-time members) and of those, four people are graduating and only me and next year's CTO are full-time😭

knowing your robotics teams is weeks behind schedule and being stressed as fuck is taking years off of my life

the amount of cad i've done this past month and a half, i swear. also if i hear the words, "the cad is broke" i will combust (can you tell i'm losing my sanity?") also building something and realizing that things are changing and having to take it apart 😭
