This is our story - On October 7, our lives changed forever. My family and I left our home to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but that did not happen. Our home was surrounded and then completely destroyed. Our home, once a bastion of hope, is now in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dream.

I’m writing this post while facing certain death.

I want to ask you, why have you stopped helping us? Is it because we’ve reached this point? Is it because we’ve reached €49,000?

I want to tell you all that I am deeply grateful, but as of this moment and date, we have not received a single euro from these funds. Even though we are in desperate need of it, I want to clarify that we won’t even receive half of it due to the percentage taken by the GoFundMe platform, the bank, and the state.

I also want to explain that the currency exchange fees here in Gaza exceed 30%.

We are currently in dire need of assistance. Prices have skyrocketed to unimaginable levels. The price of a bag of flour now exceeds €300, and the cost of vegetables has risen to insane, unbelievable levels. As for meat and fish, they’ve become like a dream to us. We haven’t had a proper, healthy meal since the war began.

We are now forced to survive on just one meal a day.

Let me ask you, how would you feel if you hadn’t had a proper meal for two days? Or if you were unable to have your lunch today?

Kareman, her husband Ayman, and their baby Hamoud have been displaced from their now destroyed home in Ghazzah.

For over a year, they've lived in a dirty, weak tent. They're constantly subjected to flooding, winter is setting in, and they have no money to buy warm clothing.

The only water they have access to is contaminated and they have very little food to eat. The prices for everything are unbelievable, and they have no income to be able to reckon with them; Kareman and Ayman used to work as a teacher and a fisherman respectively, but they've had their places of work destroyed like most else.

Hamoud, not even 2 years old, is suffering from malnutrition and disease as a result of the dirty water and lack of healthy food. He cannot play, he cannot sleep soundly; he is cold, hungry, and scared.

Previously this campaign was focused on raising evacuation funds, but since the worsening of their situation and the long-term closure of the Rafah Crossing, they are now just focusing on funding their everyday survival. They've raised $26,096 USD out of their $75,000 goal, and haven't received any donations in 14 hours.

One Year After the War in Gaza: A Never-Ending Nightmare

It has now been a year since the war on Gaza began, and yet the suffering continues. The people of Gaza are trapped in a relentless cycle of devastation, poverty, and despair. Homes, schools, and hospitals have been reduced to rubble. Families who once had a future now struggle to survive each day in unimaginable conditions. The lack of clean water, food, and electricity has turned daily life into a constant fight for survival.

The health system is on the verge of collapse, with few resources left to care for the countless injured and ill. Children, who should be growing up in safety, instead bear the scars of war—physically and emotionally. They go to sleep hungry and wake up to the sounds of bombs, if they can sleep at all.

My husband and I have lost many important people to us 👇👇👇👇

I am Kareman Dohan, a Palestinian mother and educator. Before the war, I taught young children, hoping to shape a better future for them. But that future was destroyed when my school was bombed, and I lost my job. My husband, Ayman Alwan, was a fisherman, but our boat—the only source of income we had—was shattered and lost to the sea.

The most heartbreaking part of our struggle is watching our son, Hamoud, suffer. He is just 17 months old, and due to the lack of food and access to clean water, he is now malnourished. No parent should have to witness their child in pain, hungry, and helpless. Every day feels like a fight for survival, with bombs constantly raining down on us. We live in fear, knowing that at any moment, our lives could end.

All we want is to escape this nightmare, to find a safe place where we can start over, but we simply do not have the means to do so. My son needs urgent care, proper nutrition, and a future where he can grow without the shadow of war hanging over him. We are trying with all our might, but the burden has become too heavy to carry alone.

Last year, the house where Ghareeb and her family used to live happily was demolished by the bombings.

Now, they've all been displaced across Ghazzah, separated from eachother and in horrible conditions.

They have a campaign to help themselves survive, however they've only raised $142 USD/$25,000. Their last donation was 4 months ago.

This campaign is not vetted, however it is donation protected and I've reverse searched a few of the images on the associated blog @samahghsblog and not found any duplicates.

At the very least, please spread this campaign around to where vetters might notice it and if you're comfortable, please donate. I wouldn't have known about this campaign if they hadn't reached out to me; it's extremely under-publicized.

I climbed the ladder to build my life and future step by step, but everything ended and was destroyed by the war. My sister Rital, 9 months old, is asking for milk and we cannot afford it. I have witnessed the signs of the tragedy that befell our lives in Gaza, where my family and I survived many previous wars. But today we are facing the most dangerous and fiercest battle in the current war. The need is urgent for us, as we have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water and safe shelter.

This is our story - On October 7, our lives changed forever. My family and I left our home to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but that did not happen. Our home was surrounded and then completely destroyed. Our home, once a bastion of hope, is now in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dream.

The goal of this fundraising campaign is to save my family - my parents, my siblings and myself - through the Rafah crossing into Egypt, which currently requires $5,000 per person. This campaign is our only chance for survival, and I humbly ask for your help at this critical time.
