so Jason grows up to be Dick’s protector and familiar, he eventually reveals who he is, Dick takes his hands and says he already knows, he knew the moment the bond completed all those years ago.

Starscream has given everything for Megatron’s cause and it was never enough, he was only thrown around, beaten and humiliated.

He decided he had enough, he was too old and too tired to keep fighting a pointless war, they were never gonna end this with everyone still alive. He knows running away will be considered treason and he’ll be hunted but…well he can’t kill someone who no longer exists.

I'm pretty sure this conversation has happened so many times with other Bats and Dick is just there getting the free pass.
