common batfamily misconceptions

in no particular order

- dick sees alfred as a father, not a grandfather (honestly, most of the batkids do)

- tim is not CEO of wayne enterprises, he is just a shareholder

- tim has not killed anyone in the main continuity

- dick grayson is not a cop, he VERY BRIEFLY was but it was like 20 years ago and it was in order to root out corrupt cops

- dick was not adopted by bruce until he was in his twenties (around the time tim is adopted). dick was his ward, not his son.

- jason was not revived by the lazarus pit, he was only healed by it. he un-died six months after he was buried because superboy prime messed with the universe (?? idk either), which is when he dug out of his grave. he then wandered around gotham while mostly brain-dead and very injured until talia found him and took him to nanda parbat. there she dunked him in the pit, which healed his injuries and his brain damage

- we don’t know all that much about jason’s time post-resurrection, honestly. all i know for sure is he was sent to train with the All Caste for a while, and was trained by Lady Shiva after joining the League

- babs was the first batfam member to meet cass

- tim did not follow Batman and Robin around with a camera, he just kept track of them in the news and saved articles / photos

- tim DID however stalk dick in blüdhaven, and followed bruce around with a camera post-jason’s death in order to get evidence that bruce was using excessive force (which he showed to dick to try and convince him to be robin again)

- talia did not rape bruce, that was a writer being shitty and racist and it’s been ret-conned

- jason is not tim’s robin. tim actually thinks robin!jason is kinda lame. the first time they meet (at Titans Tower) tim basically just bullies jason when he figures out who he is

- ‘lazarus pit rage’ is not actually a thing. jason was young, brutally murdered, brought back from the brink of death, and extremely traumatized and upset. the things he did while starting out as Hood should not be diminished by having an excuse like ‘pit rage’. he was a traumatized teenager and he was hurt, so he hurt others.

- dick was not mean to robin!jason. he was a good older brother, but he was busy with the titans and college and just didn’t have much free time to spend in gotham with him

I don’t know if I’ve put this here or not but have this:

Jason making Dick a suit and he implants the same thing he has in his bat symbol all over Dick’s new suit, Jason makes so anyone who touches Dick without his consent will get electrocuted.

Dick then proceeds to look Jason dead in the eyes and asks him to marry him.

Ya know that whole thing where Jason says Dick was unhinged and chaos reincarnated back when Jason was still Robin? That but make it the opposite.

Someone is ranting to Barbara about something Dick did, saying that Dick is still the same unhinged asshole he was when he was Discowing and Jason just kinda-

Looks at them with all the judgement of a thousand suns, the Dickie he knows was never an asshole and was actually fairly sweet to Jason, the golden boy took him skiing and train surfing, got him ice cream after patrol and would sit with him as Jason read his books and was all around very good to him.

Jason doesn’t believe anyone when they tell him Dick used to be an absolutely menace as Discowing, even when Tim, certified Dick stalker fanboy, tries telling him anything Jason just- doesn’t believe a damn word anyone says.

Dick just smiles anytime someone confronts him. “lol, lmao even”

Jason, has been laying on the ground for four hours: no, why do you ask

Tim: Jason you’ve been in the same position for awhile, that’s why I asked, you need to get up.

Jason, snapping a glare towards him: Dickie finally fell asleep, I’m not ruining this chance pretender.

Dick, whose been turned into a small fox: *sleeping peacefully on Jason’s chest*

Dickdin has nowhere else to go after Bruce fired him and kicked him out of house, Jason has always been his safe space even after everyone told him Jason was no good, he’s sure his big brother will help him.

Now imagine Dick finds Jason’s name on his lower back five years after Jason died, he thinks it’s some kind of sick joke the universe is playing on him.

Meanwhile, Jason is absolutely delighted when he sees Dick’s name on his inner thigh, he thinks this is the universe’s way of apologizing for fucking him over.

You guys know how Dick had to dress up as a girl a couple of times right? Like it’s a canon thing in the comics.

He was on a mission where he had to dress up as a woman and ended up saving a young Jason from a bunch of drunk idiots, years later he has to go out as that same woman and Jason just stands there blue-screening.

Jason had fallen hard for this woman because she kicked ass and saved him and now that crush has come back even worse because it’s Dick, his “second” crush dressed up as his “first” crush

Wolf Jason and Fox Dick my beloved, them running around and playing with each other in their animal forms while everyone chases them to heal them.

Dick and Jason do not care, they’re just having fun in the Gotham woods, tackling each other and curling up under the shade of trees to nap after playing all day.
