Okay, I’ve been wondering about this for a while now and I gotta get it off my chest.

What the flip is going on with Nagito Komaeda’s Junko-hand?

Like, in SDR2′s Chapter 0, he says he can’t move it because it’s not his hand, right?

But then in DRAE, you have this:

Like, if his mitten hand isn’t his hand and is a DEAD PERSON’S hand, he shouldn’t be able to lift it up like this, right? It should be flopped over and dead. Limp. And if he moved his arm enough to make her hand angle back, then it should be flopped back and nearly parallel to the ground. Again, limp. I mean, I guess he could get lucky (heh) and flop it -just- enough so that it’s balancing upright, and that Junko’s hand has stiffened due to being dead for a long while, but it still doesn’t seem...right.

I’d be perfectly fine if it was just a sprite error - that’s how I interpreted it for a while, actually - but THEN you have DR 2.5 and this:

Nagito Komaeda, that is NOT how a dead hand works. In order to outstretch my arm and hand like that, I have to consciously force my hand to stay up and in that position. If I make it limp, it flops over again.

The reason I’m not as concerned with how he moved the hand in the SDR2 image is because it jumps from an image of him hiding his hand to having it against that wall. There’s obviously some kind of movement between the images, and the way I see it is him unveiling his hand, raising his arm and moving it towards the wall, then letting the Junko hand flop against it. But for the other images? Either the hand is floating in some way that makes propping it up against something impossible (DRAE), or you can clearly see the impossible movements (DR 2.5).

Did he actually managed to bond with it, like how he said in SDR2 Chapter 0? Are the bandages wound tight enough around the wrist that it keeps the rest of the hand up (and is that even possible)? Or should I chalk it up to DR and Nagito Komaeda weirdness?

(I also don’t know if this is exclusive to having your own arm/leg/whatever, but when Hajime pulls Nagito out of his Neo World Program capsule in DR 2.5, he does it pretty smoothly. Did Hajime completely lift him up out of it, or did Nagito pull himself up with Hajime’s help? If it’s the latter, would he actually be able to pull himself up like that with the Junko hand? Like, normally when you pull something, you use your hands and wrists mostly, right? Would you actually be able to attach a dead person’s hand directly to a stump of a wrist, or would you have to amputate a bit lower, i.e just below the wrist? If that’s the case, he should have even LESS control over the Junko hand, since he wouldn’t even have control over his wrist...)
