I's funny to think that we really exist. I hear voices, you do not. How can we, as humanity, exist, when our very essence, in a sense, does not? If my liver, my heart, my ear, my brain, these tangible parts of my being, are but mere flesh and bone, how can I, as a conscious entity, be sure of my own existence? When I look at my hands, do they truly belong to me? Are they mine to control or are they merely lent to me for this sick brief performance? I yearn to pluck out my eyes, to rip free my ears, for they are the gateways to this illusion. To see and hear nothing would be a blessing, for then I could not be so sure of my own non-existence good night

Rats

It's beautiful to feel rats crawling on me, their tiny paws pattering against my skin. I know it sounds strange, but it makes me feel alive, like my organs are bleeding with joy. I can pretty much feel their little hearts beating against mine, and it's as if we are one entity. Their sharp teeth nipping at my flesh is my own mortality

because humans are cowards, running from the truth of their own mortality. They cannot bear to witness the slow, putrid death of their flesh, the maggots feasting on their bones. They hide behind their illusions of eternity, their vain attempts to cheat death.
