I finally finished my WTNV themed beanie. This is the first hat I’ve ever made, as well as the first time I’ve ever done ribbing and intarsia, so it’s far from perfect. The design is from This Talented Ravelry Member. Her pattern is for a standard beanie, but I’m hipster scum and wanted a slouch beanie. I started by knitting an inch and a half of ribbing (which I messed up) at the bottom, then began the pattern, then extended the swirl portion of the hat (I made the tendrils of the swirl thinner) until it was about 7.5 inches from the beginning of the pattern to the end, then decreased as per the instructions at that time. After finishing that up, I was concerned the ribbing wasn’t going to stay tight with the weight of the hat, so I wove elastic into the ribbing to help it stay tight.

As per the wishes of the creator of the pattern and the wishes of the creators of Welcome to Night Vale, please do not sell any hats you make from this pattern or its variations. Thanks.
