Kroot are finally done. Space marine 2 really hit my painting time.

I'd say if you're just starting, pick a faction that you like the look and the lore of. Start small and slow, buy the combat patrol, build and paint your mini's, go to your local game store and roll some dice.

It takes some time to build and paint mini's so take your time and enjoy the process.

Well, it’s finally time for the post I told y’all about. It is about a game and fandom I have been getting really into recently, and I want to get into the actual game. This game, and fandom is Warhammer 40K. I mean like ITS SO AWESOME. I really want to get into the game(not video game but that too), I have seen so much about people playing it. IT IS A LITERAL MIX OF WW1 AND THE MEDIEVAL BUT FUTURIZED, I FREAKIN LOVE IT. The game takes place in the 41st milenium. Under the Imperium of man, and the emperor, humanity is fighting any and all heretic’s(essentially anyone who isn’t under their rule or allied) but it is AWESOME. To get into the board game, I want to build an army for the Black Templar’s, Dark Angels, and the Space Wolves, starting out using the Combat Patrol packs. IT IS LITERALLY THE ONE COMBAT GAME I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR. Do any Warhammer players(who play the in person game not the video games) have any suggestions for building an army and doing Combat Patrols? I would appreciate any suggestions. My favorite faction is the Black Templars, I MEAN LOOK AT THEM

Rare & Elusive Australian Bird, Thought Extinct for 100 Years, Discovered by Indigenous Rangers and Scientists

Using sound recordings, the team identified the largest known population of the night parrot, a secretive species known as the “Holy Grail of birdwatching”

The night parrot—a brilliantly colored, nocturnal bird—once thrived in Australia’s outback. The arrival of colonists and feral predators, however, brought about an almost catastrophic decline in the species’ population in the late 19th century. In fact, the vibrant, green parrots were believed to be extinct for roughly a century, until one of them was found in western Queensland in 1990. While that was heartening for scientists, there was one problem: The specimen was dead. Then, another dead night parrot was identified 16 years later. It wasn’t until 2013 that a naturalist found a small, living population in southwestern Queensland. Since then, the species’ known population has been in the tens of birds, and the night parrot remains one of the most elusive—and most endangered—birds on Earth. Now, however, a team of Indigenous rangers and scientists has discovered as many as 50 night parrots on land managed by the Ngururrpa people in Western Australia’s Great Sandy Desert. The new results from their project, which is supported with funding from Australia’s National Environmental Science Program’s Resilient Landscapes Hub, were published in the journal Wildlife Researchon Monday...

Yeah I have always found the behaviour of male warhammer fans to be quite atrocious. I for one want to see more women and queers in the hobby.

warhammer dudes will treat the female characters in the nastiest way. Degrade Celestine's and Yvraine's characters to nothing but waifu bait. Talk about what they'd like to do to sororitas with consent optional. Gleefully describe what a daemonculaba is and act like its so cool and edgy. But the minute female fans and queers start to talk about finding a male character attractive NAW that's where they draw the line. How dare we find Titus handsome. Filthy perverts degenerates all of us. Its apparently too much for them and they get really, really mad about it. Stay pissy you gross ass weirdos, your hypocrisy stinks through the walls
