Okay so bad news for everyone on YouTube right now

Starting the 13th, we will have an AI determine if we are children or not and if you are a child, than you are forced to send your ID, send a selfie or a credit card

This has the obvious cons of having your privacy being revoked from you and and in case there is a security breach, major identity thefts.

So what do we do in this scenario?

Well right now I have real idea as this is relativity new to me, but I do have two plans

Plan 1. Bug the shit out of them, send letters and send emails about how much of bad idea this is.

Include why the AI will mess up and target adults who watch cartoons, include privacy issues, censorship issues, anything you can think of that relates to this. I want you guys to bug the hell out of YouTube until they reverse this idea

Plan 2. Blackout.

Since the thing is coming out on the 13th.

The plan will be to completely avoid YouTube at all cost for that day, no watching, no sharing, no uploading, no nothing.

Download videos before things go down, watch Netflix. Whatever you do, don’t touch YouTube.

That’s all I can say right now, I also want you guys to let YouTubers know of this situation cause if it’s important for everyone on the website to talk about this immediately

Spread this stuff around, let people know of YouTube’s upcoming policy and how it’ll hurt everyone

KOSA/the kids online safety act has been reintroduced into legislature after it passed Senate last year and then got snubbed. It is not unlike the bill that just passed in the UK a few weeks ago. If you don't want what happened in the UK to happen here, now would be a good time to vocally oppose it.

Here is a petition that can be signed by Americans. Attached to the petition is an easy tool that allows you to call and leave messages for your representatives. I have already done so. You can also email your representatives by searching for their name, most have message submission boards as well. This thing died once, it can die again.

Please sign/share the petition and contact your representatives.

Something I just thought of regarding Ragatha…

A common consensus among people who have been abused by their parents is that their parents wanted a doll, not a child. A pretty, docile little thing with no wants or needs of their own that the parents can project and force their desires onto with little to no complaint or resistance.

…Could that be why Ragatha’s form in the circus is a ragdoll in-universe? Like, we all know Ragatha’s mom was at least mentally and emotionally abusive, and it’s implied that Ragatha is a massive people pleaser due to that. So maybe her doll-like form is a reflection of these things, either as a subconscious/somewhat purposeful choice by Ragatha herself (if the circus denizens can choose what forms they take) or something the character creation part of the circus picked up on and used when deciding what Ragatha would look like (if the circus denizens can’t choose what they look like).

UPDATE: Found the source for the abstraction comment! That one felt more obscure to me so it feels really good to get confirmation that it’s actually real and I didn’t just imagine it!

Theory on Who Will Abstract Next

So everyone has their own theory on who will abstract next, and I’d like to throw my hat into the ring. The person I believe will abstract next…

…is Caine.

“But Nerd,” you may say, “Caine’s an AI; it’s not even stated if he can abstract! Why’re you saying Caine will be the next to abstract?”

I have a few reasons, actually. Spoilers ahead, but they’re pretty minor:

So, I have multiple reasons for thinking Caine could be the next to abstract:

Gooseworx’s official statements

Gooseworx has officially said (I think, can someone find the source for this?) that the next character to abstract will be one nobody’s expecting. And honestly, who would suspect the AI to abstract?

2. Caine’s behavior over the past few episodes

While watching the episodes, I noticed that Caine has been acting rather…off lately. One of the most noticeable changes is how intense/frequent his anger has gotten. While he did have angrier moments earlier in the show (“YOU PARASITE!”, anyone?), he’s definitely a lot…angrier in the new episode.

I remember reading somewhere that the people that abstract get a lot more unpleasant the closer they are to abstraction (again, can’t find the source, please confirm if this is true in the notes), and this…definitely isn’t pleasant behavior

Another part of abstraction is completely giving up on your hopes/having your hopes completely crushed, and Caine’s experiencing that too. Alongside the entire plot of episode 5 being based on nobody liking Caine’s adventures, there’s this infamous therapy scene:

So yeah, not looking great. Plus, that breakdown scene could parallel/foreshadow Gangle’s brief breakdown in Episode 4, and we all know what nearly happened there…

3. Foreshadowing

One of Kinger’s most iconic lines from episode 3 is also an important part of this theory:

Why is this important, you may ask? Well, at this point, it’s well-known that nobody really likes Caine or his adventures, which are basically his entire purpose for existing in the show and something he clearly takes great pride in. And, as of Episode 5, Caine himself now knows this. And guess how this would make him feel?

You guessed it, not wanted or loved.

I don’t know if this is right or even accurate to what the show and the creators have presented to us so far. All I know is that I’m worried about the silly AI ringleader.

Do not think for a moment that this admin is only going after trans folks. They are ultimately going after the whole LGBTQ community. They start small, like getting rid of a hotline option, then go BIG.
