she leans forward, presses her lips to the edge of her glass, and takes the smallest of sips as she pretends to consider his question more than was necessary. no, she really couldn't say that she did like him; it would be cruel to say aloud, but her only aim in getting close to Buzzo had been to use him for protection for the time she remained powerless. she really didn't even like men in general, so the whole situation was....well, it was getting more complicated than she would have liked. she could hardly blame him, though.

Gigi had a certain affect on people.

"...I don't really think that matters," is what she ends up saying. why should Brad even care, she wonders? she'd been told to look out for him and had even considered killing him just for the fun of it--or perhaps to make Buzzo fall for her even more. "Why? You sound like it's weird that he likes me." she pouts gently, throwing as innocent of a side eye as she could muster in his direction.

Brad's tapping slows, and he watches Giselle out of the corner of his eye. "...He does?"

It's... Hard to imagine Buzzo liking another girl, at first-

Brad has to remind himself Buzzo's a grown adult now. He shakes his head gently at the thoughts, and then reaches for his drink again to finish it off and then hold the glass out, catching the bartender's attention to ask if Brad needs a refill. That gets answered with a nod.

"Mm-hmm..."

"...You really like him?"

Losing track of why he asked at all, now Brad's just thinking about... What Buzzo's actually like nowadays. It's the same line of thinking he just shook away, a line of thinking about... What the normal parts of his former student's life could be like. It's kind of hard to imagine Buzzo doing something other than running a gang and doing impromptu amputations.

Are there even that many normal parts? Would there be more if Brad had actually done something?

1.) when did you start writing on tumblr?

had to check way back on my personal tumblr for the answer to this and.........13 years ago. what business I had rping on here at age 14, i'll never know, but here I am.

3.) who are your longest rp friends?

there's a lot of you now, honestly! not so many are still here in this group, so I won't name names, but you know who you are! very crazy that some of them have been my friends for over 10 years!

10.) would you be friends with your muse if they were real?

...no! I mean, she's....fun, I guess, but I would fear for my safety at all points in time. I'm not super eager to be a zombie and even if she didn't have her powers, she's just...mean. I would cry

12.) answered! 13.) what's one random headcanon about your muse that people might not know?

Giselle has gotten hurt and "killed" so many times now that her body just doesn't register pain like most people's do anymore. She used to, so the early days of having her abilities were kind of rough, but the sensation has left her now. I don't think it's just some "oh I'm a hard to kill villain from a shounen manga" thing, but something genuinely related to her powers, death motif, and familiarity with getting hurt. It's why she can get nearly cut in half, have her neck broken, and get stabbed or shot in the abdomen without flinching.

Scott Lynch, of the Gentlemen Bastards sequence; Patrick Rothfuss, of the Kingkiller Chronicles; Ryogo Narita, of the Baccano! and Durarara!! series, to name a few. there, uh....seems to be a funny trend with these, actually. iykyk

19.) do you listen to music while writing? if so, what kind?

not often, actually! I love music, but it can distract me pretty easily, so I don't usually have it on. I can have it on if its something instrumental, but lyrics make me want to sing along, which doesn't really help the writing process LOL

I think the sense of community it brings is really nice sometimes! having a group of people get together just to write for the characters they love just speaks of the passion humans have for things. and i think it really helps keep your brain active, expand your vocabulary, and lets you learn things you otherwise wouldn't have (whether via research or from someone else's muse). there's been pieces of media I never would have known about without rp, too!

6.) OTP for your muse?

sorry for the boring answer, but I...don't have one! Gigi isn't the romantic sort by any means and she's really only close with the other girl Quincy. she claims to love Bambietta after she's been zombified, but that's really just because she's dead and entirely loyal to her, so it's...not love, just Gigi being a little freak. i have seen people ship her with all the other Bambies before, I just don't think shipping in general is easy to do with her!

just going to go with my first muse on tumblr, bc going back further would take us to my warrior cat forums days and, man--

oh, yes! if i've written for a character before, odds are I think about bringing them back very often. right now I'm in the process of re-reading all the baccano novels, so my old muses from that series are on my mind (graham and czes most notably!).

yes! I used to joke that my roster was always angsty boys, but I also tend to attach to characters who are the embodiment of sunshine. or to women who could kill me, like Gigi here.

i also have an extremely niche type and that's "wears an eye patch or otherwise has one fucked up eye" and i don't know how this keeps happening

hi hi, my name is Rei (they/she, 25+, EST) and i've been in the tumblr rp community for over ten years now! i've been in isola off and on since it began and was in the other group we don't talk about anymore, too. some prolific muses of mine throughout the years were probably suzaku kururugi, titus ram, elijah elkwood, and jaune arc, though my roster at one point was........insanely large. even this blog is insanely old (anyone remember her in aod?), a remnant from a time where your url HAD to have an 'x' in it to be cool

i'm currently working full time and am back in school, so odds are if i ever disappear for long periods of time, it's because of one of those things. i can't believe there was ever a time where i could have, like, ten blogs going at a time!! one is enough, and i'm gonna attempt to keep two active real soon.

Gigi runs a fingertip around the rim of her drink-- an espresso martini, but the foam has long since dissipated, the coffee beans on top sunk to the bottom. it's barely been sipped at, but it would have been odd to sit at the bar with nothing in front of her, and, well...it wasn't her money.

she wrinkles her nose and does an exaggerated sigh. "Fiiiiiiine....you're no fun."

"I reaaaally didn't want to say anything more, but..." maybe I can play both sides? "Guess I let it slip already. Yeah, that guy I talked about really seems to like me or something. I haven't seen him in a few weeks, though..." which was odd, but could she really complain? he followed her around like a lost puppy, but she supposed she'd set herself up for that one...and she kind of liked having a lackey.

Offering to pay for Giselle's snacks and drinks seemed like a good idea at first - He'd be hard-pressed to admit it, but he's beginning to like her company. She's silly, she's innocent, she's annoying in the good way.

He's starting to regret it now, though.

Fingers tapping against the bar, Brad huffs. "Can you just answer my question like a normal person?" He wants her to get back to something she'd said in passing, about a certain boy-toy who goes around in spiked pauldrons and a stupid hat with a spike, but if she's going to keep playing around...

"Eh?"

Gigi eyes the launcher, somehow not quite understanding that the destruction would be coming right now. not a complaint, of course; she was eager to stir up a little chaos. the other girls point about others having it good for too long rang true. some people lived their lives never thinking of the possibility that something truly terrible could happen to them at any given time. in fact, one of Giselle's main joys in life was reminding them that danger is out there and that it can and will find them.

a little shiver of anticipation goes down her spine.

"What's that saying again...? 'Go big or go home?'" she giggles. "Hit 'em with a 10--!"

"Eh? Getting yelled at? Hell no! One of them is a bit of a freak himself and the other is...well they're alright I guess."

Everyone else was kind of used to her awful villainous tendencies at the end of the day. And the Commander never decided to show up and really reprimand her in the first place. Not that they really had any authority beyond being thrown in prison or being used as cannon fodder in the first place. If anything these past few months were the freest Architect had ever been since the assembly line. Maybe she should've been enjoying it a little bit more.

"You bring up a really good point though. Some people have had it good for too long. Alright! Let's see what I can do."

It was pretty obvious the moment she kicked her launcher onto their shoulder what "she was going to do". Especially when she eyed the building in front of her.

"On a scale of 1-10 how big do you want it? I'll let you be the judge."

while most normal humans would have been at least a little spooked by now, Giselle was no normal human, and the widening of her eyes was in awe, not fear. she actually steps closer, a smile brightening her features. as she tiptoes around the stranger, Gigi holds her cheeks in excitement, taking note of all the little things she had missed upon first glance.

"Ohhh, wowwww, okay--! You're wearing her like a skin suit, then?" is that a blush settling on her cheeks? "You're right, I do like it better. I bet you can still hear her scream, huh?"

θ "Sarcasm NOTED. Eye roll." As was standard behaviour of Cyn, she narrated the very big eye roll she made with her glowing, X-shaped pupils. "Do you not like my COST-ume? I suppose I have torn it UP. A sh-ame human FLESH is so fra-GILE." She played along with the accusation, lifting her drone hands to see the loose human ones above them flop around.

"Would you LIKE it bet-TER if I told you I made it from my past OWN-er? She had a G-G-GREAT scream!" Tessa's death had been quick though. That was the one mercy she had afforded the girl who had cared for and protected her. "Hm. I su-PPOSE I would be MORE intimidating if I had MY powers. Cowabummer, DUDE."
