He’s very interested in his S/O’s Pokemon and their potential, especially since they haven’t been seen in Unova before.

They have quite a lot of battles so he can study the potential of Ghost-types aside from Rotom (which rarely is a Ghost in battle).

He’s actually slightly intimidated by Mimikyu due to what he’s heard about it in regards to its disguise.

Grimsley

He’s reminded a lot of Shauntal, and wants to introduce his S/O to her one day, thinking they’d be good friends.

His S/O eventually pressures him into a battle against them, and while Grimsley won with his type advantage, Mimikyu especially nearly gave him a run for his money.

Really likes Decidueye, and can be seen petting it at times.

Burgh

Leavanny was very excited to fight against the team, regardless of who won or lost.
