protective starters send a sentence, get a drabble.

“ i’m not asking you, i’m telling you. ”

“ i will always rescue you. ”

As much angst as that AU idea brings, it also brings so much opportunity as well.

Gunmar*Holding Jasper and yelling at them*: If I see such insolence again I will!

* This is cut off however by Jaspers dilated eyes looking at a blue vein of his arm in mesmerization *

Gunmar: ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING-

*Instead Jasper reaches for the arm holding her up, black hand reaching out for a vein and BOOM like lightening has struck them both, Jasper steals away Gunmar’s hearth energy just a smidge though- proceeding to drop Jasper. Looking down at her in shock. *

Jasper* looks up eyes dilated before sneezing, shaking their head*: Excuse me….

Another AU snippet

An AU of an AU idea I already have with @daylightisminetoconsume, where Jasper is struck with the decimaar blade and becomes his unwilling cupbearer. The only tell-tale that it happened because the digit her hand got cut turned black.

So better idea. Instead of leaving it just like that. Because of the soul bond the decimaar blade practically creates to control his soldiers, and Jaspers still unknown shape shifting capabilities. What if Jaspers magic responded to the blade of decimaar by taking on Gunmar as well. Slowly turning her into the kind of troll he is. A Hearthborn troll. And the more she’s summoned by the blade or gunmar and spends time around them. The faster the transformation begins. Jaspers halfling form, starting from her hand to her arm, a creeping black and her veins beginning to come alight with an ill blue-green very similar to gunmar.

With only a matter of time before Jasper can hide or find out how to stop it.

No thoughts, just Janus Order Aligned Jasper AU

Instead of Jasper’s father being able to disappear from the Janus Order, following his coupling with Jaspers Mother, Fariida. The event able to allow her to carry to full term and give birth to Jasper without anyone to know of her parentage. Instead Jaspers father is caught close to Jaspers birth, and upon discovering Fariida had fraternized with the changeling. The Order felt the need to make an example of the pair.

Thus Jaspers Father and Fariida were killed, but not after Jasper had been born, and was a spunky year old. The Janus Order were intent on removing the babe as well, until they discovered her magic, able to fluidly change from changeling to human without an familiar to rely on. Instead they took in Jasper, and being the very first child to be raised amidst the Janus Order. Growing up to become an incredibly successful and powerful changeling ward amidst the order. Cunning, and innovative Jasper possesses a fluidity between holding two lives. Finding her human life, a means to an end, and her changeling life her purpose.

She will serve the Janus Order until her dying breath, and free Gunmar from the Darklands to bring the Eternal Night. It’s her duty, and she will perform it well.

Extra Notes

- Listen the Janus Order isn’t child friendly, Nor even coworker friendly. As soon as Jasper was old enough to go on missions she was at the bottom rung of the ladder amidst the hierarchy of the Janus order, and any changeling would be caught dead before they helped the halfling out. She went from a child to competition very quickly. In turn Jasper worked hard to make her way up the ladder, and to many changelings distaste and the higher ups of the orders delights. She’s become one of the highly successful and regarded agents of the order despite her age. The Prodigy of the Janus Order.

- This however doesn’t mean the Janus order doesn’t have their influence on her. This Jasper is just as reckless as the OG, but in far worse ways. She has eye bags for days, and is constantly working, never wanting to take a break for a moment unless it’s for sleep.

- Jaspers anxiety is also different, given she was given a lot more socialization as a kid, her anxiety stems mostly from fear of poor performance, and failure rather than self loathing, and absolute unsureness. Jasper doesn’t have time to be anxious of what her classmates think of her, when she’s busy nursing an assassination attempt on her side.

- Jasper has streaks of purple going through her curls rather than her whole head, and a faint scar across her face from a child. An ear of hers as a minor slit through it too.

- Jasper wields a weapon similar to a bo-staff that separates into two blades when needed.

No thoughts, just baby Jasper always bonking things with her noggin troll form or human? No in between. Her mother was greeted with hello head bumps, her toys were head butted, even grandma’s knees weren’t safe from the ever loving head bonks.

Luckily Jasper has taught herself to stop doing that, yet even know there is still that very rare chance of how tired she might be. To head bonk someone or something without thinking about it.

Enough of tropes of humans being seen as nothing more than dirt or scum on higher level beings/aliens/monsters/deities-etc. Humans bring so much destruction on themselves, we are the worlds most intelligent yet stupidest species. We have such a wide range of emotions and how we express them.

Humans are honestly their own plane of eldritch, and other creatures maybe won’t fear us but they’ll definitely be concerned for us.

I finally did watch the Trollhunters movie earlier this week, and I haven’t said anything soon about it-because I’m still processing what I just watched.

The hard work the voice actors, animators, writers put through was amazing to see and shown, however I also have to say I’m going to mentally and physically block that I ever watched that movie from my memory.
