I finally did watch the Trollhunters movie earlier this week, and I haven’t said anything soon about it-because I’m still processing what I just watched.

The hard work the voice actors, animators, writers put through was amazing to see and shown, however I also have to say I’m going to mentally and physically block that I ever watched that movie from my memory.

The idea of Jasper in her thralled Verse, getting snuffed out to the backseat of her mind temporarily because Gunmar decided he wanted to control her for a bit. Is really just a cocktail of potential dreadful and angsty threads.

Yet the comedic gold it would be for Gunmar to take one step towards her mom, and Jasper somehow managing to smack Gunmar straight out of her brain/soul to get control back into her body. In an absolutely panic of keeping her mom safe because she doesn’t trust what the troll could do, but to also keep her appearances normal

It’s not possible, but gosh would that just be hilarious.

In my thralled verse, Jasper would just barely survive Gunmar’s death after he’s slayed by the trollhunter. She certainly would be out of commission for a bit, but she’d eventually recover and bounce back from it.

It makes me wonder that if any Thralls would survive after Gunmar’s passing, since they weren’t really freed from decimaar but Gunmar’s gone so they’re not a hive mind either. They’d come across Jasper and be able to remember, and since old habits die hard Jasper just gains a small gaggle of gumm gumm thralls following her around from time to time.
