Here is our recent spread from the “Toronto Life” Weddings issue! We are so excited to be featured as one of the top 8 weddings of 2012. If you haven’t seen it yet, we suggest going to get a copy and see if you can spot yourself.
It was such an incredible event - one we love to relive over and over again. Thanks again to everyone who made it a night for the books - Literally!

Where’s Waldo? He’s at our Wedding!
Another special thank you goes out to our dear friends at Extant Jesters, Thomas and Lauren who were amazing enough arrange for Waldo (of Where’s Waldo fame) to be a part of our wedding.
He was a huge hit, and nearly everyone has a photo with or of him on their camera - If they realize it or not. If you or anyone you know is interested in having Waldo surprise a party or event, don’t hesitate to give them a call.

'Operation Rowboat' was a complete success. Thank you to everyone who helped pull off one of the best surprises ever! To those who picked us up on chairs a special thank you. It's not easy by any stretch, but you performed admirably, and with much endurance. We were up there for a long time.
To those of you not in the know, one of Ashley's favorite movies is "A Walk to Remember". An iconic scene which Ashley had expressed interest in recreating is when Noah and Allie are out on the lake surrounded by swans in a rowboat. Without an abundance of live swans, a rowboat, and paper towel I didn't think it could be done. I had always wondered how to mimic it and had always anticipated doing it at the wedding, but it wasn't until I had spoken with balloon artist Mark Verge (a.k.a. Jungle Jack) did I have any real idea how I would be able to do it.
Mark was amazing. He had crafted a number of swan prototypes before we settled on one specific design which worked the best. Not only were they well received, they were taken as prizes, cuddled in the photo booth, and worn as hats!
So to Mark Verge, a big swans hats off to you! This memory will be in our heads for years to come. You helped make something I believed to be nearly impossible into a surreal reality.
~Jonathan
P.S. If you are curious as to what song was playing for the duration of 'Operation Rowboat', it was Muse's 'Blackout', one of my all time favorite slow songs.
P.P.S. Another special thank you to our photographers from Mango Studios as well as the amazingly talented Leilah Vayid for taking such exceptional pictures.

The Nth Degree of Awesome
A special thanks to our incredible DJ for the wedding; Tom Hall and his assistant Taylor, from Nth Degree. We couldn't have selected anyone better. The entire time leading up to the wedding he made himself available to us, and even went through our eclectic music collection song by song to confirm artists as well as the time each section of songs would be played.
From being better than we could have imagined with cues to relaying information to us during the wedding about upcoming song selections, Tom remained top notch and professional the entire evening. He even had an incredible lighting setup which was so much more than we could have anticipated.
If you are looking for a DJ in the Toronto and surrounding area I would suggest looking no further. Tom Hall and Nth Degree Entertainment are the best.
Thank you for making the wedding a music filled night to remember!
Love, ~Joey
(P.S. There were 2 small moments in the night where music was cut short or played with strange static. Tom was not responsible for that as it was our mistake for not double checking 2 of the many songs we had given him. Completely our mistake!)

I didn't have a chance to show them, but the jewellery designer at Greenshag was able to make this pair of puzzle piece cufflinks for me for the wedding from a piece of Meteorite. They actually match a pendant of similar shape and material which was given to Ashley on the day of the wedding.
Just wanted to say thank you to Greenshag, and share their fine work!

What do our wedding guests, Superman, and Doctor Who Have in common?
If you guessed "They have great outfits!" you're only half right! The correct answer is: Booths!
Brad from Clarke Images was incredibly generous to let us use his new photo-booth for our big night. It was a resounding success. We have gone through the photos, and after laughing hysterically are finally posting for your entertainment. It looks like people had a great time with the props and their own funny faces - and we have it all on camera! Check the link below to see some of the photos from the booth. You may even find Waldo hidden in there!

Gift Registry
More than a few people have asked us about where we are registered, so we wanted to provide a helpful guide if you were so inclined to bring a gift on the day of the wedding. Simply click on 'Info' in the top navigation bar and you will be taken to the hiding place of our registry selections. Hopefully this answers some of your questions! ~Joey

Getting Lost?
Do you know how to get to the Spadina House Museum? Are you sure?
I'f you're not 100% certain, let us be your GPS!
If you're coming from the North of the city (401, 407, HWY 7, and other ground routes) your best bet is to take the Allen South to Eglinton, head East on Eglinton to Spadina, and follow Spadina South until you see a Castle. MAP
From the South, take University Ave./Avenue Rd. Northbound until Davenport. Follow Davenport West until Walmer, then head North. When you come around the bend Casa Loma will be on your right, and Spadina House in front. MAP
By TTC, your most reliable option is to exit ad Dupont station and walk North. Climb the Baldwin steps - a possible challenge for any guy or girl in heels, follow the path at the top and Voila! You have arrived! MAP
After the ceremony we will be going to the Windsor Arms Hotel for a cocktail reception. Please go and enjoy the music, food, and beverages while you wait for us. MAP
Love,
~Joey

@bsolute-ly Covered
July 14th, 2012, rain or shine (hopefully shine!) we will be getting married at the Spadina House Museum. But if our day does get a little damp, @bsolute Tent Rentals will be providing a beautiful white canopy to keep us all dry.
Michelle has gone out of her way to help us out with getting special chairs, laying out the tent, and arranging site visits. Absolute provides the highest quality service in the city, which is evident by their solid reputation.
Thanks to the entire Absolute team for making sure we have something over our heads if it rains!

Where's Parking?
If you aren't an avid Public Transit enthusiast like ourselves, you've likely been wondering about the parking situation at both the Spadina House Museum, as well as the Windsor Arms Hotel.
Spadina House Museum
Since it is in close proximity to Casa Loma we have the option of using their full sized parking lot: Click Here. There is also the possibility to park on the streets around Spadina House and the Castle: Click Here. Parking in the lot is apx $3.00 per hour (to a maximum of $9.00) , and the street parking is free for one hour, but depending on how busy the day is it can be somewhat harder to come by.
The Windsor Arms
There is an underground parking garage just southwest of the hotel entrance: Click Here. The purple line drawn shows the surface route after the elevator brings you up. If you are adventerous enough to try and find street parking, head further south on Saint Thomas Street you may be able to find less expensive street parking on Charles: Click Here. Parking in the lot is $3.25 per 1/2 hour to a daytime max of $15.00 (8am-6pm) or nighttime max of $7.50 (6pm-8am), and the street parking is $2.50 per hour, but free after 9pm. Another option, if you are wearing fancy-pants that day, you can drop your car at the Valet service outside the front door of the hotel for $25.00 and get the red carpet treatment!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Love, ~Joey

Paging Dr. Ringbearer
OMAR PARVEZ – Ring Bearer
Where did you meet us?
I met Ashley at a McGill Send Off Party in the summer of 2002 just before we started university. We were divided into groups based on what residence hall we were going to be in and I happened to sit right next to Ashley. I knew we were going to be friends for a long time when I met her.
I finally met Jonathan in April, 2006 while getting ready for the McGill Red and White Ball (graduation prom), after hearing about him non-stop from Ashley for the past several months. He was surprisingly quiet at first.
What is your favourite piece of artwork?
I love the paintings my sister has done. My favorite is a collage she made because it represents different parts of our lives while we were growing up. My favorite famous painting is In Bed: The Kiss by Toulouse Lautrec because it captures passion and love so well. Even though it was painted more than a hundred years ago, it's still something that one can easily identify with.
Share a surreal dream.
I dreamt that I was in a huge, white, empty space being hunted. But at the same time I was the one who was doing the hunting. In my dream, I kept switching back and forth between the two perspectives: one, running for my life in absolute fear and the other, hunting and pursuing with an intense blood lust. The dream ended just as I was about to catch myself and go for the kill.
What dreams do you have for yourself?
For my mother to see me graduate from residency and get married. To establish a successful career and travel the world.

Still Moore to Come!
It is official! The guys have all been sized, and their suits will soon be here! I have dealt with Moores before with my groomsman Sean's wedding. The one thing I remember is their staff being fun, knowledgable and able to help. It was exactly the same this time around.
Natasha, who helped us out, made the entire process nice and easy. She also was able to arrange getting a special deal so we could take advantage of a sale that we had missed by a week. Now THAT is service.

Meet our Cakexperts
It is with great excitement we welcome Bobbette and Belle back into our surreal wedding world.
Once again, Allyson and Sarah have been exciting, supportive, and fantastically innovative as to how to accomplish our far out ideas. We couldn't imagine working with anyone more knowledgable, or better suited to create our next masterpiece! Their confections truly are the best.
If you get a chance to visit their store, take it. You won't be disappointed. You will however leave feeling full, and likely with intensions of going back for more. We speak from experience.
Follow Bobbetteandbelle on Twitter!

They Said Yes to the Dress!
Woo hoo! The lovely ladies have bought their dresses and they look gorgeous in violet! We found these dresses in "Paris Fashion", a bridesmaid dress store in historic Unionville.
I am so lucky to have these amazing women in my life. Thank you so much for your support and patience through the hunt.
I can't wait to see the dresses on you when you are all done up with your shoes, accessories and hair and make-up.
Sweet Smiles,
Love Ashley.

A Nice Shag for the Wedding
Through meetings with photographers, I was referred to a Canadian company who specialize in fully bespoke shirts and suits. Since I wanted to look my best for the engagement party, I thought it would be a good idea to get an outfit which would last me for years to come, and would be a nice reminder of the night.
I went in and met with Kaley who talked to me about options. I picked out a style of shirt, was measured up and picked out my fabrics. A few weeks later I had a fantastic dress shirt!
Green Shag, located near Queen and Bathurst, really treated me well. Their clothing is top notch, hand made, and fits like a finely tailored glove. Everyone that I have dealt with have been amazing.
I can't wait to see what they create for the wedding!
