A pause. Well I could be straight and not in love with you. The words seem so brazen coming from the taller woman, yet Athenais can't help but stifle a laugh. Her infatuation with Hisayo is no secret, not to anyone who can see the way she gazes longingly at her or makes sure her hair's perfect in Hissy's presence. Still...hearing those words makes her heart skip a beat in the most wonderfully agonizing way and the laughter flows freely.

Athenais used to see happy things, before she almost drowned as a kid, and the mood whiplash from seeing happy families and hopeful futures to just doom, gloom and despair at a young age has kind of had an effect on her. She has unprompted visions often, either as nightmares or random visions, but can also willingly look into the future, though that’s never something she really wants to do.

She’s got a bad tendency of mumbling during her visions, giving any onlookers scraps of information of what she’s seen but doesn’t necessarily elaborate.

"I can see possibilities, yes. Usually the more unpleasant ones."

A slight frown graces her features, is it really the future she sees? Or just potential doom and destruction nowadays? She used to see the brightest things, weddings, happy families, the embrace of happy couples, the little things that made life worth living.

"I think it's rare," she glances away, she knows it's rare. Knows it's a mark of honour, to posess such eyes but... "It's something my grandmother was proud of, but it's not something I'd wish upon anyone."
