This is so obvious it's almost petty to talk about, but it keeps happening so I am increasingly faced with needing to decide to bring it up. Can everyone who advocates for not reposting art and for crediting artists start bringing that same energy to photographs of traditional art? Especially fiber arts and sewing related things, due to very prolific scraping accounts that repost things from elsewhere on the internet here to tumblr and a few years ago stopped crediting the artists at all. They never asked permission, but credit has just dried up entirely and it's galling to see.

I know non fiber artists don't really have the experience to see this, but just like visual arts, fiber artists develop pretty clear styles. So if a blog is posting elaborate pieces of infamously time consuming arts that cover a wide range of styles, once or twice a day, with no credits or discussion of themselves as an artist - that shit's stolen as fuck.

It feels like I'm going insane sometimes because thousands of people who otherwise yell all day about how artists need to be credited, just think that sewing related photographs pop into existence without needing to be linked to the person that made them.

also in the face of people deleting their blogs, that's another reason why you guys are supposed to reblog stuff. if somebody deletes a post, your liked version will disappear, but the reblogs remain. i'm insane about preservation and archival, every single piece of art i have ever enjoyed is reblogged on my 450k+ posts main account so if the artists leave I still have their work. i even tag things (though just with the main fandom tag) so I have years and years worth of fanworks saved that the terrible general site search will never show you.

please reblog art. not just to support the artists who make it and share their efforts, but also so you have your own copy of their works saved for yourself, and the future users of this site.

thinking about modern au katacora with baker katakuri who owns a quaint little donut shop and daycare worker corazon who buys donuts for the little ones every friday.

katakuri who’s moved far away from everything he’s ever known in the process of learning to detach himself from his mother’s toxic expectations, and corazon who struggled finding work after serving in the marines, but found a passion in looking after children with busy or absent guardians, just like him.

katakuri who’s come to appreciate the clumsy blond man that stumbles in to ramble about the adorable children at the daycare, completely forgetting to say his order at all, but he doesn’t need to anyway since katakuri’s memorized it all. corazon whose heart flutters at the warm look on the baker’s face whenever he talks about the kids, never needing to see his smile, hidden meticulously beneath a face mask, because it reaches his eyes regardless.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BELOVED DIMITRI!!! Normally I wouldn't try to complete a whole drawing in one night but for him??? I'll push myself a little harder than usual-

I'm sleepy so I won't delve too much into the art process or else I'll start rambling about the parts I don't like about it bc I did it all in one night but I did want to just say that I love Dimitri so much <3

Dimitri is one of those f/os who's feelings I have for only grows stronger with time (Heck, I'd even say that now he's on par with Sanji). He's someone who I never expected to fall for (In hindsight it makes perfect sense) but I'm so glad I did! He's brought me so much comfort and joy and I only hope I can do the same for him <3 I love him so much that words can't even begin to describe! So many kisses for him on his birthday!
