The one thing progressive and conservative Christians have in common is that they both think they're exempt from any criticisms of their religion and they both have a passion for the 'no true Scotsman' fallacy.

It's funny how certain religious people act like accepting LGBTQ rights will lead to paedophilia being normalized when they've already let that shit slide for centuries.

Completely understand like I said I do post it on my page if anyone is interested of any bad religion and cults, as much I dislike like I can do my best to respect it just have religious trauma myself either way you can hate and dislike it no matter what, what they have done of spreading misinformation and doing whatever power they try to get on they’re hands it’s scary honestly.

I hate that particular group of people who, when they find out you’re exmormon, start going, “HAHA yeah, Mormonism is so stupid! Jesus came to America? More scriptures? How dumb do people have to be to believe that stuff haha?!”

And lots of people I care about still believe it.

It’s a high control religion, it’s manipulative, and if you’d been born into it and all your friends and your family and most of the adults in your life believed it—yeah, you’d probably believe it too, at least for a good while.

And adult converts aren’t stupid either. A lot of them have recently suffered a serious loss, are isolated, struggling, or in some other way vulnerable to a religion that makes them feel loved and gives them lots of shiny promises about their future.

It’s not about stupid.
