like everyone else in America with a brain right now I don’t even know what to say

the fact that he had such an influence that it sent the whole world back into their One Direction phases with such reverence is beautiful and a fantastic legacy to leave behind

this is not to say he was without faults at all, and I don’t want to diminish any of them, but this is coming from the perspective of 11 year old me watching all 5 of them start to build a legacy. Seeing how the world has reacted, even though it’s devastating, is amazing to watch. It brought millions and millions of people back together and has everyone reminiscing over their accomplishments, seeing their difficulties in a new light, and having a new look on their music and the memories with them all. It’s a horrible way to prove it, but it shows just how much what he has done meant and how much they all mean to so many people
