I’m curious, out of all of the Star Wars stuff (books, movies, games etc.) that are actual canon, in terms of the timeline, what thing takes place the earliest in the timeline and what thing takes place the latest?

KOTOR UPDATE FINALE!

So, I fought through the Sith army and made my way to Bastila! She was kind of easy easy but kept taunting me and stopping the fight to regain health (4 times she did this!) and I was gonna save her butttt

Like, listen, had she not of been rude the whole game and acted better than everyone but also be the one that switched sides and keep taunting me AND STILL THINKING SHES HOLIER THAN THOU I had enough

Anyways, I made it to Malak, who of course ran away like he always does and sent 6 SIX attack droids at me, instead of fighting them I chased him because fuck that

And yet, he still belittled me, after all I’ve done to prove my strength!

I took him down, he was the hardest boss by far! He kept zapping these poor captured Jedi and taking their energy to regain his health, there was like 8 of them and I bet anything I could of done something to prevent it but I didn’t know how to, I saw several terminals in the room before the fight, with the droids so maybe there was something I could of done there but I didn’t so I had to fight him 8 times lol

But I killed him, the republic destoryed the Star Forge and the universe was saved!

My final thoughts

As someone who had no real knowledge of the Star Wars universe prior I throughly enjoyed exploring all of the planets and aliens and cultures! I can clearly see why people still talk about and play this game, it’s a masterpiece besides that last level, which I found frustrating. I liked that nothing was really black and white, lots of moral grey areas! My only real complaint was that, all though the main story was told beautifully, I find it so boring and uninspired that with how rich the Star Wars universe is it always boils down to “Jedi vs Sith”. I think I would of enjoyed it way more if you, the protag, was just a normal citizen of the galaxy and you weren’t a key figure in saving the entire universe but instead maybe saving your city, or town or family. Maybe I’m crazy with saying that, idk. Overall I’d give it a solid 9/10, very very good game and I’m a fan of Star Wars now.

Kotor Update

I landed on the Star Forge ready to fight Malak and Bastila

When I got to the second floor I had the most insane, dumbest fucking enemy spam I’ve ever seen in a video game, I killed, I swear to god, like 50 people and kept having to reload but finally I get to the elevator and to the third floor

And I thought finally I could at least fight Bastila but no, more enemy spam and I rage quit, I get this is the final area and final battle but there’s so many more interesting ways to to up the difficulty other than “the same basic enemy you’ve been fighting except now there’s an army of them”

Bruh I’m gonna go smoke and take a nap and calm down lol

Well I unlocked/found the star forge if you remember

I talked to everyone in my ship

Carth not blaming me is nice but now I’m stuck??

It won’t let me travel to the star forge for some reason? My hyperdrive is fixed and everything and I finished the quests on this planet? Can somebody help me plz?? I feel like my game is bugged or something

Kotor Update

Finally solved the puzzle (not gonna lie I looked it up, I was stumped lol) and I found this super computer!

I learned a lot about the Rataka and the Star Forge

Most interesting to me was the fact there was some sort of plague that popped up and it only infected the Rataka! That mixed with their genetics slowly not being sensitive to the force anymore leads me to believe the force is somehow a divine type deity? Possibly smiting evil force users?? But I guess that doesn’t quite make sense considering Malak is evil and every other Sith but maybe they just weren’t evil enough? I mean, the Rataka took over 500 planets and had something like a trillion slaves, pretty crazy!

Anyways, I made my way to the top of the temple to shut down the planetary force field so I can fly away to the Star Forge and guess who was waiting for me

Fucking Bastila and she’s dressed in black and I just KNEW she was gonna switch sides, she was even mean to Juhani when she was telling her it wasn’t too late to come back to the light, speaking from her own personal experience

I’ve never liked Bastila and Juhani is my favorite character so I kinda really hate Bastila now, but I will try to save her because that’s the Jedi way bruh

Next up I think is the star forge and the end of the game! (How much more do I have do you think? Another hour or 2 maybe?)

Kotor Update!

Well not a lot happened this session, just exploring this temple but I ran into these dudes

They recognized me as Reven but they’re loyal to Malak and wouldn’t back down, too bad for them lol

And then I raided the armory and ran into a Sith Master!

And honestly I excepted a really tough fight but if this guy is a “master” they must have low low standards because I killed him sooooo easily it’s not even funny lol

And lastly I got to the catacombs and to a puzzle, I found a data pad that said I needed make an “H” symbol and I did that but the door wouldn’t open?? I even did it the other way too but that didn’t work either, I got stuck and annoyed and quit for the night

Kotor Update

Omgggg it’s been so long, I swear I’m gonna finish this game asap, I’m gonna focus on it! ANYWAYS

I finally talked to the Rataka elders who agreed to help me get inside the temple, under the condition I go alone, I’m not too worried I’m hella strong. Before leaving I explored their compound more now that I was able to and I found a researcher who captures other Rataka for experiments because apparently the Rataka were once a very strong race who could use the force and they conquered a lot of the universe and did horrible things but as time went on they slowly lost their force ability, how crazy is that? Luckily they’ve learned the error in their ways now and hopefully won’t repeat it if they regain their force ability! Another interesting note is the Rataka tribesmen who escapes underground and are now emerging from generations in isolation, some of them have a little force spark but no knowledge of the old empire, they’ll all barbaric, reminds me of Horizon Zero Dawn, this is a super cool race

BUT THEN! My people, specifically Jolee and Juhani, came rushing in saying they had a force vision of impending doom! And insisted on coming with me and I successfully pursued the guide to allow it!

Once inside the temple I saw a cut scene of our old buddy Malak looking CRAZY SCARY

Talking about bringing Bastila to the dark side and coming to the star forge (and maybe the temple??)

Kotor Update

Finally back to Kotor! I felt like I got a lot done this session!

So first I told the Rakata Elders that I was Raven and they let me in! They told me I was there before (of course) and that I lied and promised them to destroy the star forge! They said they’d only help me again if I proved to them I was a changed person by rescuing a prisoner from the other Rakata tribe/the One, I accepted thinking I could talk my way outta fighting the other tribe but BOY was I wrong

The other tribe attacked on sight and luckily even though they had Rancors and elite warriors I’m like so overpowered, I fought their entire army up to the One who had two more Rancors and a hand full of elite warriors and I wiped em all out, sadly. I really wanted to negotiate with him and as much as I liked the One and his rouge tribe just trying to gain knowledge of the temple I feel like helping him/the tribe would of ended badly, plus I mean by them attacking me on sight kinda proves they aren’t fit to wield such knowledge, rip gg regardless

After that I stumbled upon ship parts and repaired my ship! So I’m guessing I can’t just leave though, I was on my way back to the elders when I decided to take a break!

I wonder how much longer I have before I finish the game, I feel close to the end! It’s been a wild journey
