She jumped out of her skin hearing her, turning on her heels to face the newcomer before nodding, fire igniting in her palms.

He had been worrying her lately...

But hearing that, it reassured her a little. A small smile formed on her lips as she rested her head against his arm, humming as they wandered the streets of twilight town.

"....then will you tell me what troubles you...? I know those people in black coats keep visiting..." Lettie's grip on his arm tightened just a little- it was such a tricky subject to breach but...

he'd tell her the truth, she hoped he'd tell her the truth...

Lettie finally looked up at him once they were alone, having traversed the city and made their way up the clocktower to be alone. Once they were high above Twilight Town, she let go of his arm and walked to the edge, standing on it and closing her eyes...

"You've been acting different, distant."

"Vil, I can't help you if you don't tell me what is going on...please... TELL ME what is going on..."

"Wait!!! I need to get my mom!!!! I can't leave without my mom!!!!"

As tiny as she was, Lettie broke free of Vil's grip to run back into the coming swarm of heartless upon Radiant Garden, her footsteps echoing on deserted cobblestone as she ripped open the door to the breton's hattery and rushed to the back of the store.

She didn't hear if he followed (or if Rosalee followed in suit), all Lettie cared about was finding her mother's belongings... And out of the corner of her eye she spotted the black leatherbound grimoire, the silver linings and purple gem on top shining in what little light there was.

[ I'm so sorry mother, I'm here now. ]

"Lettie, we have to go!"

She heard Rosalee's voice break through the silence as she turned to face them both properly. Nodding and rushing to the stairs leading up to the Breton family home, turning the knob and slamming it open.

"GO!!!! GO NOW!!!!!" She wasn't sure where the door would lead...but it was far from home, perhaps to a world not about to be consumed by heartless. Lettie kept the door open for the both of them before she closed her eyes, seeing the silhouette of a woman in the dark clouds that covered the doors of the shop before Lettie closed her eyes.

And she slammed the door shut once she crossed the threshold, locking the door and sliding down it, her hands white knuckling the grimoire in her other hand as her shoulders started shaking. Her hand falling from the door handle as she held her grimoire closer to her chest, head hanging low...

Oh where was her family...where were they...?

"....are we all okay...?" She finally spoke up, sniffling a little before drying her eyes and looking to the two. "...I'm sorry about that I couldn't just-" her eyes trailed to the grimoire in her hands.

So selfish, but she couldn't abandon her mother...
