Viktor remembers everything and despite the "all possibilities" he deliberately avoids Jayce. Not coming to the same conference as Jayce does (at least not on the same day), not working on the same project or projects that can intersect, etc etc. And it worked for decades since he knew of Jayce.

Then one gala, 1 (one), and Jayce spots him first when Sky ropes him into a conversation.

His Jayce does not remember a thing. All he knows is that the man Sky is talking to is goddamn gorgeous. Decades of feeling like something isn't clicking and Viktor laughs at Sky's joke once in front of him and Jayce is gone. He has to know everything about this man before the end of the night no matter what.
