“Mind Palace” is the new Cascading Elephants album, due out June 10th on Trunk Show Records.  Recorded between May and September 2016, “Mind Palace” represents a uniquely chaotic and freeing time in the life of Ben Parker, the sole member and main-brain of Cascading Elephants.  For the first time ever, Ben was able to devote all of his creative energy into creating music while balancing work as a landscaper with frequent live performances.  Halfway through the recording process Ben dropped everything and moved to Louisville Kentucky, where he began a new life as as a musician, student and sound technician.  Through this constant state of change and subtle chaos emerged “Mind Palace”, a compositionally dense and sonically textured record that can be compared to the work of Oneohtrix Point Never, Deerhoof and Baltimore’s own Dan Deacon.  Proud of the fact that “Mind Palace” both challenges and rewards listeners through perplexing yet catchy compositions and sonic textures, Ben believes the album is his best work yet.  “Mind Palace” will be debuted at an intimate album release concert at Joe Squared in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday June 10.
