This is Pixies 1st appearance on American television.

Sunday Night, later named Michelob Presents Night Music, a late-night television show which aired for two seasons between 1988 and 1990 as a showcase for jazz and eclectic musical artists. It was hosted by David Sanborn.

It’s late October, the hour before dawn; numbed by vodka, I stare out at the black landscape, which is empty but for the three red vertical lights of the distant transmitting tower, above it, Sirius, the Dog Star, sits lonely in her vacuum. The room’s growing cold, so I pull the window closed.

In the bathroom, I splash my face with cold water, brush my teeth, and stare at the fragmented reflection in the mirror. Back in the kitchen, I pour another vodka from the freezer. And while the alcohol glows inside me, I look out again at the night then move silently to the bedroom and climb into bed without undressing.

The light is beginning to creep in by the time I fall asleep.

Finally can rest from all the work, play some games & listen to music. This track specifically, was made during the making of the "Ps2 music to chill and relax to" video. You can consider this track a short version of that mix. But this time there's only one musician, and that composer is not a genius, instead an amateur driven by nostalgia. This is one of the tracks for my PS2 nostalgia driven electronica album, and honestly I didn't really intend on uploading it (note that I made this almost two years ago if not more). I just thought it's great to share, to see what other people think.

BUT DON'T BUY IT ON BANDCAMP! I WON'T GET ANY MONEY FROM SALES! I only uploaded it to Bandcamp for better access. It will be up on YouTube much later though.

Remembering David Sanborn 1945-2024

Saxophonist David Sanborn has died at 78. In addition to his own solo music, he collaborated with loads of musicians including James Taylor (that's him on "How Sweet It Is (to be Loved by You)"), Stevie Wonder, Todd Rundgren, David Bowie (that's his epic sax on "Young Americans"), Bruce Springsteen (he played on "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out"), The Rolling Stones, and Mick Jagger among many others. I remember seeing him sit in with the band on Late Night with David Letterman and 70's SNL episodes too.

In addition to his numerous movie soundtrack contributions, he appeared in some films as a musician too, like as a street musician in Scrooged. He also hosted the late night music show Night Music with Jools Holland from 1988-1990.
