Norway: Trip #3

I am writing this on the plane, heading home. Going home is the hardest part. I always spend the first 20-30 minutes crying because I don’t really want to go home.

Leaving my boyfriend behind is so hard since we don’t get to spend a lot of time together. A week every few months is all we get. Long distance is hard…

Big Ben.... I wish I could have gotten a better photo. I really wanted to snag this iconic shot with the arch framing the clock tower but, the sun wasn’t cooperating. Pretty bummed out that I didn’t get it the way I wanted it to look. ⠀ ⠀ Once Big Ben is restored back to it’s original glory.... I will be going back to get this photo. ⠀ ⠀ Tip: if you want to snag this photo on a future trip.... walk down along the Thames River by the London Eye. You’ll see a sketchy tunnel that goes under the street. You might be a muggle if you don’t know where this is 😉 Because I am a nerd and I love Harry Potter, a trip to London wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Kings Cross Station to visit platform 9 3/4. Inside the station there is actually a store called Platform 9 3/4 and it’s filled with so many Harry Potter things! Outside you can find this trolly halfway inside the wall so you can pose like you’re on your way to Hogwarts! Tip: you’re going to be in line for a long long time. The line to the store was about 20 mins and to get a photo at the trolly.... 2hrs. Yes.... I said it. 2 whole freaking hours. If you plan on going to the Harry Potter movie set, there is one there and it had no line. Many people think this is the Tower of London, but it is not! This is the Waterloo Block, also known as the Jewel House. ⠀ This is where the crown jewels are kept! ⠀ ⠀ In the far right hand corner of this photo you’ll see a group of people, this is the line to get into this place. ⠀ ⠀ Tip: if you want to see the crowns jewels, get there early or you’ll be waiting in line for a long time. ⠀ ⠀ Would you wait in a long line to see the Crown Jewels? Tower of London!⠀ ⠀ Did you know this place is supposedly haunted 😱 Do you believe in ghosts? Let me know if you can spot any in the windows!! ⠀ ⠀ You can take a free walking tour with the purchase of a ticket. It’s led by a man dressed in traditional clothes called a Beefeater! He is also known as a Yeoman Warder and they guard the Tower of London. ⠀ ⠀ Why do they need guards here you say? Well, the queens jewels are kept here!! ⠀ ⠀ If you’re really into history I suggest grabbing a tour. There is a ton of info about this place that is quite fascinating. ⠀ ⠀ Tip: This place is free with the London Pass. Welcome to London! ⠀ ⠀ It was pretty wild driving on the left side of the road. Every time we made a turn I thought we were going to get into an accident. I don’t think I ever got over that feeling. ⠀ ⠀ Here I am riding at the front of a double decker bus at the very top! Today started off as any other day.

Since deciding that I was in fact going to make the move, I have been trying to figure out a way to work remotely in Norway. Thinking… yah that should be enough until I can learn the language.

Well it turns out no.

For me to be legally allowed to live there I need a Norwegian job.

Looks like WowAir is in a bit of hot water. It’s really sad. I was really rooting for these guys.

Everyone seems to give low cost airlines a bad rap but honestly, I love them. I don’t need someone to treat me like I’m the freaking queen of England. Just get me to point A to point B safely.
