After Red Mountain erupted in the First Era, ash blocked sunlight from Tamriel for an entire year. This is known as “Sun’s Death.”

Reblog this if you wait patiently for replies and respect the other mun enough to understand that muses can become selective at times in replying to certain threads, as well as ooc life becoming far too busy at times.

"Sometimes that depends on how you're trying to make them happy. There is little to be merry about in Skyrim it seems. A lot of fighting... On too mant fronts." He surmised. Then he stopped and dropped to a crouch. An echoing howl swept over the pair, a chilly wind herolding the cry. In seconds a pair of wolves came charging down a hillside, teeth bared and throats snarling. "Get back!" Dulnir grunted after pulling back an arrow. It landed solidly in the shoulder of one creature. But they were too close now. Quick as he could, he cast aside the weapon in favor of drawing his sword. He side stepped and drove the blade down through it's back with a distinctive crack, ending this one's attack with a yelping squeal which croaked to nothing. There was another left though.
The Orsimer fellow split his attention between the journey ahead and listening to what Angus had to say. He nodded occassionally, pausing in his steps to focus on disturbances. For now they were granted some peace. While it seemed quiet, Dulnir stopped for a moment to collect some blue flowers that were growing close to the road. He did the same a few steps later, then expertly nabbed a butterfly that happened to fly close enough. “My mother taught me that these help heal wounds when you combine them.” The being said with a shrug after explaining his actions. “By people oriented, as you say your skills are, do you mean persuasively?” He picked back up on the conversation being made before he commented.

Journal Entry: Lindemann
“Few times in my life have I ever experienced agony and fear. Recently, while battling more bandits than I cared to count, Gregor was injured. My knowledge of herbs and alchemy was more than enough to save him, but it scared us both. It was the closest we ever came to losing one another. The situation made me realise just how lucky we truely are.
We stopped in Whiterun to visit some old friends and catch up with the other Companions. Things have been pretty peaceful in Whiterun, but it appears that areas like Morthal have been having trouble. Dragon trouble. Being Dragonborne means that it is now my trouble. While on our way out to begin the journey home, I encountered a girl begging for coins near the great tree. The poor dear was starving, shivering in her raggedy dress. Lucia is her name, a fitting title for a pretty young lady. Her parents were killed in a dragon attack, leaving her on her own. Thinking of Alesan, we decided to ask her to accompany us home. She would be safe and our boy would have someone to play with. They’ve been getting along fairly well as of late. They argue from time to time and tease one another, but they are children after all.
Once we rested a few days and made necessary house repairs, we decided it would be best if I went to investigate the dragon business on my own. As much as it would hurt being apart, Gregor knows I can handle myself, and that he is more useful keeping our home fires burning. I think he will appreciate the respit, even without me there. The welcome for my returning home will be all the more wonderful. I look forward to seeing the beautiful faces of my family again.”
