Haunted Play House At The MoCA In Tokyo by Torafu Architects via Yatzer
This ‘Haunted House’ is not like any you will have seen before and comes in the form of a spooky gallery of paintings that at first seem ordinary but soon turn out to have some hidden surprises in store. The concept behind Torafu Architects’ ‘Haunted Play House’ is to challenge perspectives and norms where rules are broken as children are actually encouraged to run, shout and touch – activities usually forbidden in a gallery or a museum.

What's in a name?
I always wondered about the names of Tokyo and Kyoto. I heard something about them long ago but today I made a little research.
Kyoto (京都) means "Capital City". Understandable, considering it was the capital from 794 to 1868.
Kyoto 1696 (X)
Tokyo (東京) means East Capital.
Funny enough, when you search for the kanji individualy it gets a bit confusing (I don't know a thing about the language, so probably that's why)
This kanji 都 means capital, but also this 京. In fact that one is also used in chinese to identify Beijing (北京, "north capital").
都 also means "all". THE capital between ALL the capitals?
Kyoto was also known as Heian-kyō (平安京) literally "tranquility and peace capital"
The former name of Tokyo, Edo (江戸) means "estuary"
A colored Photochrom print version of a panorama of Edo. 1865 (X)
If someone knows more about the meanings of those names, and the "why"s, or if I got something wrong, please tell me. I want to know.
I like toponyms

Something I learned today
Japan is in the UTC+9, so is 7 hours ahead from where I live... in summer.
They don't use the daylight saving time so there is 8 hours of difference in winter.
World map showing current and past daylight saving time usage. The Spring-forward/Fall-back adjustment is a common practice at high latitudes. (X)
   blue: 2013 DST is used.
orange: DST is no longer used.
red: DST has never been used.

Universal Studios Japan to Open Wizarding World of Harry Potter in July
source (X)
April 18, 2014 | 10:08AM PT

Senior Editor @marcgraser
It’s turning into a very Harry Potter-filled summer for Warner Bros. and Universal.
Universal Studios Japan will open its version of the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” theme park on July 15. The expansion of the park in Orlando, which will include the Hogwarts Express train and re-creation of Diagon Alley from J.K. Rowling’s books and movies, will also open this summer.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products joined Universal in Osaka, Japan, to announce the opening of the park Friday.
Like the Universal park in Orlando, Universal Studios Japan is expected to benefit from a significant boost of visitors once the “Wizarding World” opens this summer.
The completion of the themed area comes as Universal Studios Japan counted 10 million visitors for the second time in March, the first time USJ has achieved the milestone since the park’s opening in 2001.
In attendance at the launch announcement were Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan; Ms. Caroline Kennedy, Ambassador of the United States of America to Japan; art director and production designer for the Harry Potter films, Stuart Craig; actress Evanna Lynch, who played “Luna Lovegood” in the “Harry Potter” film series; architect Tadao Ando; and Universal Studios Japan ambassadors, and beloved musical act, SMAP.

Lynch led the guests in casting the spell “Lumos!” followed by more fireworks.
“We cannot wait for the July 15 opening. ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ will be a wonderful addition to Universal Studios Japan and will contribute to energizing Osaka and the local economy,” said Prime Minister Abe.
“Harry Potter inspired a generation of children to love reading … and when they are not reading, I hope they come to ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,’” Ambassador Kennedy said.
