So today is the day!
For the first time in my life I’m actually happy to have started my cycle 😂 it’s been 9 months since my last hormone blocker and 7 months since my last T injection.
I know that I’m very privileged to be in a position where I’m able to freeze my eggs for the future but for anyone who also has this opportunity and is unsure of stopping their HRT I just want you to know that it didn’t have much effect on my life. My voice stayed the same and I’m still growing my facial hair even 7 months without T, in my opinion it’s definitely worth it and I hope anyone who wants to also gets the chance to do this.
Best of luck to you all on your journeys!

An update since I’ve paused my HRT:
I’m on my 3rd month of being off Testosterone and my 6th month off blockers.
I’ve noticed a few small changes, I’m able to cry a lot easier now whereas before even if I wanted to I would struggle to cry at all. Hot flushes are now a part of my daily life, I would say I have about 10 a day give or take which sucks but you get used to it pretty quickly.
I’m very happy to say that I haven’t noticed any of my masculine features fading, my voice is still as low as it was and I’m still growing the small amount of facial hair I could grow 😂
Overall it hasn’t impacted my life much and I’m so excited for the opportunity it’s given me, I’ll keep updating if I notice more changes.
Thanks for reading 😊

I’ve just found out that according to a recent law in the uk, freezing gametes for trans people is now fully funded by the NHS. I’m very excited and I am stopping all of my hormone treatment immediately for the next few months until my hormone levels are at a suitable level for the dr to harvest my eggs.
The reason I’m posting this is because it’s not something that happens all the time and I thought some people might be curious about it, I’ll keep posting updates of how I’m feeling off my hormone treatment and if anyone wants to know anything about it please feel free to ask 😄

do u have any advice for someone suffering from bottom dysphoria? i'm struggling a lot. thanks
Hey! Sorry to hear that you’re struggling.
The first thing I always tell myself is that my gender has nothing to do with my anatomy, it’s just a part of me and doesn’t change who I am and I think that’s an important thing to tell yourself.
However if you are struggling with it then there are a few things you can do. Depending on which way you’re transitioning, if you’re ftm you can use packers which often helps with feeling more masculine, you can also use a stand to pee device which could help you feel more confident when using public bathrooms. If it’s about dysphoria during sex then there are a lot of toys out there that could help and also communicating how you feel about your body with your partner would help to make it more enjoyable for both of you. At the end of the day if it feels good then you’re doing it right!
I don’t have much information for mtf unfortunately, if that’s what you’re looking for then I would suggest asking someone on here that has experience in that area? All I can say is that a big part of feeling better about your body is looking at why you feel the way you feel, and don’t ever waste time on someone who makes you feel bad about yourself.
I really hope I helped and if you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them 😊

Hey, I’m sure this has been asked before but thought I’d give it a go.
I want to keep my hair long because a) as far as hair goes, it’s good hair and b) spiritual beliefs/culture. Where both men and women have long hair. However it’s preventing me from passing. I can’t go in T because of medical complications (and it’s just a nightmare). I feel like if I could just get my face to pass, it would be a little better (especially considering I’m already square-jawed with giant messy eyebrows). Have you got any advice on styling? I don’t see a lot of clean-shaven men with long hair. I want to cut it if only because I’d be taken more seriously by other queer people (especially the younger ones I work with who refuse to use my pronouns because they think I’m just making fun of being queer - I’m older, so our experiences growing up queer are very different; it’s not a big thing since they’re still kids but it does hurt since it’s coming from other queer folk who are declared to be the most accepting generation and more power to them, but still...)
TL;DR Got very long hair, can’t and won’t cut, can’t go in T, any tips on masculinising said hair/face area? Cheers!
Firstly I’m so sorry you’ve been treated poorly by the community and I really hope you’re able to get some support around you.
As for the hair I should preface this by saying I’m not the most stylish person in the world, but men tend to have a more square hairline while women have a softer curved hairline. You can shave a little bit of hair from your forehead to shape your face in a more masculine way if that’s an option for you. In general men don’t style their hair as carefully as women so it looks a bit messier. Honestly there’s not a lot you can do but it’s important to remember than even cis men with long hair get misgendered sometimes.
Sorry I couldn’t be more help but I did manage to find this page which I think can help you a lot more, good luck! 😁

Does anyone else ever forget that they’re trans? Like I was thinking that I should put my pronouns in my bio because it would be helpful to the trans community and then I realised I AM the trans community

Hey there!
This is just an invitation to anyone who has any questions about transitioning, weather you’re trans or not. I know I had a lot of questions at the start of my transition and I would’ve loved to have someone to talk to about it so my ask box is always open.
Take care ❤️

Some trans guy tips from your dad
Don’t try that mascara/arm hair shit. I’ve been passing for more than a year with short, blond arm hair. It’s not an important secondary sex characteristic.
Board shorts (without pockets in the front) do wonders to minimize the width of your hips. Always choose board shorts over swim trunks. Choose them over cargo shorts if it’s appropriate.
Speak from your chest, never from your head.
The goal of binding should not be an entirely flat chest; you should bind for your body type.
GC2b makes the best binders out there, and their products are designed specifically for trans men/transmasculine people.
It might seem useless if you’re pre-T, but working out can be a big help for dysphoria.
Eyebrows are really important to passing pre-testosterone. Muss that shit up. Make them look unkempt.
When you ask for a haircut, make sure the edges in the back are squared, not rounded.
If you have peach fuzz, I would advise shaving it. Cis guys shed theirs when they go through puberty. Shaving can also help with facial hair dysphoria.
Don’t ever buy a binder from Amazon. They run in strange sizes (I was an XXL even though I’m a M in GC2b) and take weeks/months to come. It’s also difficult to breathe in them after a few hours.

I know that this is incredibly on the part of Starbucks to purposely appease to a target demographic but it actually makes me really happy to see that such a specific situation only really understood by the trans community is something that they're willing to acknowledge, support, and promote.

Hey! Quick PSA about chest binders.
Firstly, I had one of those binders with the clips, NOT the ones you wrap around your chest as those are very dangerous!
I wore my binder for five years, sometimes overnight if I was staying with other people, even if I was out to those people already. I know that you’re not supposed to but sometimes dysphoria wins a few battles, you just have to move on.
Anyway, I’m very lucky to have had top surgery last year but I want to share something I didn’t know about before my surgery. If you wear a binder too often for too long, it does have lasting effects. When I was wearing my binder I could only breath in a little bit as my chest couldn’t expand enough for a full breath, I still have this problem now even without it. I can take deep breaths if I want to but it’s a conscious effort, I don’t do it when breathing normally which means I breath a lot faster than a healthy person should. This also means that I get out of breath a lot quicker than I should so I also struggle to do a lot of exercise. I’ll be honest, this hasn’t affected my life greatly, it’s not holding me back from anything but I thought it was important to mention for people who are using chest binders, please take them off as much as you can and practice deep breathing.
Take care ❤️
