ive been talking about this on my blog in a little more depth but for everyone in the tags:

Please be inclusive of transfeminine selfshippers.

i don’t just mean mention them briefly in posts where they aren’t the focus. i mean that we as a community need to work on the fact that we almost never acknowledge trans women or nonbinary transfeminine people on their own, we almost never focus on positivity JUST for transfeminine selfshippers, and above all as far as i can see there are very few transfeminine selfshippers at all.

trans women and transfeminine people are an amazing group who face a lot, and there are many places they don’t feel welcome. we have no excuse not to make the selfship community welcoming to transfeminine people, and the fact there are so few transfeminine selfshippers in the tags and so many other TME people tell me they see the same issue is indicative of a big problem with how we as a community conduct ourselves.

and for other trans selfshippers in particular, it’s our job to uplift and care for our sisters. we have no excuse not to do this.

EDIT: don’t derail this post if you are TME. the inclusion of transfem nonbinary people in this post is because they also face transmisogyny. please do not add unrelated shit about being TME and nonbinary.

There are few experiences like this that people can connect with over on such a deep, intimate level. There is an understanding; a love there that a cis/trans or only cis relationship couldn't get in the same way. Not that there's anything wrong with these relationships or that they're somehow inferior, it's just a different kind of love! And for those folks who are t4t or prefer t4t relationships, we relish this flavor of love.

The connection we have with our f/os is inherent to our beings. We understand what each other has been through, even if our gender identities aren't the same, or we didn't transition in a similar way/situation. We don't have to Explain who we are. We just simply Get our f/os, and our f/os Get us. The tenderness that is found there— it's the best feeling I've ever felt.
