important lessons from hit 2014 social deduction game Town of Salem that I regularly keep in mind while on tumblr:

-people can and will accuse others in an attempt to deflect blame from themselves

-People can and will lie about whatever, for reasons that may not be clear

-People will rarely have all the information on a given situation, and that includes you.

-If someone seems a little too obnoxious, they are likely trying to goad you into anger for their own amusement. They desire attention, and it is best to have them quietly executed in the night.

-personal information should only be revealed when necessary, and be sure you are not sharing it with someone who will use it against you

-the Coven Leader gains basic defense when holding the Necronomicon

-earning the trust of an unbiased, neutral party can lead to many benefits, especially if they are a Pirate.

-do not let pursuit of an enemy turn you against your own community

-To make accurate judgements, you must rely on information learned from others, but a degree of skepticism is valuable

-do not approach an arsonist

i was playing tos and i had my name set as gundham tanaka, and 2 other people set their names to shuichi saihara and junko lol

(i was the sheriff, junko was the lookout, and shuichi was the executioner)

it makes me think how much fun it'd be to have a danganronpa theme since they're both about killing/finding the killers through discussions and voting
