Introducing Bear, whose little (or not so little!) face makes me feel all warm inside! His mum says “I would so love for my baby boy and best friend Bear to be featured on your site. He is 15 months old and 46 kgs and is American Bulldog x Pit Bull, he is such a character and we are blessed to have him in our lives. We have had bear since he was 12 weeks old, we brought him from some people that were trying to sell him for a significant amount of money.. Initially I was taking a friend to look at him but the moment I laid eyes on him and he rested his head on my chest and licked my face I fell in love with him and the love he had to give .. He was running a very high temperature, full of worms, very ill and under nourished. I had to take him straight to the vet as the sellers didn’t have the funds to get him the treatment he deserved. He is my wee rescue and, even though he has cost me more than I ever imagined, his love and companionship and part in our family is priceless .. He is full of manners, character and idolizes my ten year old daughter, he will watch her for hours playing on the computer or the trampoline and just watch her every minute he gets.. He is very active and even sleeps with me in my bed, pillow and under the blankets he is very spoilt and deserves all the love we give him as his love is irreplaceable..  I call him my son and my daughter calls him her brother. We look forward to so many more years of joy and happiness with this wee man, he is our world and we are his xx go the bully breeds xx”

Prepare to be stunned by this looker of a love-a-bull, this is Khaos! His mum says “Here is Khaos at two years young three in September. He is a very versatile dog who enjoys a range of things from hunting pigs to cuddling with the kids. I have had him since he was 6 weeks old his mother died not long after he was born.  He’s a huge part of my life and sparked my love for the breed and helped me decide that I wanted to become a vet nurse, I am now in my last year and working part time at a clinic.  Khaos is such a gentle soul and we have been changing people’s perspective about the breed one person at a time. He loves cuddles, we actually have a joke with all our friends about my vicious guard dog who meets you at the gate wanting to be patted and cuddled. Like how did you get past the vicious dog out there? I could go on and on about him but I’ll stop there with I love him, he is one of my best friends and I will defend him and the breed for the rest of my life.” And yes, that last picture does show the dogs and a cat out on a walk together

Another quick post on our first ever love-a-bull Hazel the Pitbullisn’t she so pretty? And clever? Her and her mum do a lot of hard work and are an amazing team, go check out her facebook page to find out more of what she’s up to!

I thought I would introduce myself for those of you who are new to my page. My name is Hazel The Pitbull. I am one year old and I live in New Zealand. My Mum and Dad adopted me from Waikato SPCA when I was three months old. I live at home with my human mum, Dad, Gran and Granda. I also live with their 3 dogs and 2 cats. I call them my Aunties and Uncles and I am sure you will see lots of photos of them on my page. I have completed puppy school, obedience classes, a tracking course and an advanced tracking course. I also go into the local rest home twice a month to visit the residents. I was rejected by a pet therapy organization in New Zealand because they do not test ‘dangerous’ dogs, so they gave Mum and I inspiration to prove them wrong! I am a pet therapy dog in training and I am also learning agility!  I love playing with other dogs and educating people on pitbulls! I have a lot more planned for the future so I hope you will continue to follow my journey with me  Hazel x

Meet Tank and admire that beautiful smile! His mum says: “Here is our American Staffy Tank, he is all we could have asked for in a family dog. He loves to lick and snuggle up on your lap like a cat, even though he’s a lot bigger! He will do anything for a ball or his lead. He has a heart full of love and is super loyal. Wouldn’t have anything but a bully as part of our family “

Meet Millie and Bobby! Aren’t they just so sweet?? Their mum says “I want to introduce you to the loves of my life! Bobby and Millie. Two staffy crosses that make me laugh on the daily. Millie likes sleeping and walking and playing with her ball and jumping on the cat. Bobby likes walking, playing in the hose, protecting his cat, eating ( anything) and having cuddles. They are four and four and a half respectively. We got Millie at 7 weeks old and she was so tiny, we lost her one night and found her sleeping on the pillow keeping my partners head warm! Picture is Bobby hiding under the sink! I will never leave them behind anywhere and they will always have a place in my heart and on the bed ( naughty I know!)” I think there’s a fair few of us who have given in to our naughty bullies and let them seep on the bed, so don’t feel bad, you’re no the only one!

Meet the gorgeous and love-a-bull Buffy, who is all about hiking, swimming and good times! When asked for a little more info about this gorgeous girl, her mum said “I could write a novel lol She was 2 in January and I have been her Governor (her mum prefers this term to “owner”, I agree!) since she was 8 weeks. She is so very interactive, has a desire to be involved in anything that happens within our household, she helps to unpack groceries, always has a hairbrush in her mouth when I’m blow-drying my hair lol, loves to feed visiting dogs (she drops mouth fulls of food from her bowl in front of them lol).  We go on daily forest hikes, and travel for all day hikes, she swims and kayaks..twice we have bought home dogs found in the local forest and kept them until their owners have picked them up (she is a great sharer). Her best walking buddys are a pig dog named Boo, and a staffy named Boss.  She of course has her moments of being a handful, but I notice they usually coincide with a time of not much exercise, and OVER enthusiasm. She is allot of fun and makes me laugh every day, we spend allot of time together and her ability to learn constantly amazes me.” What a lucky girl Buffy is! And such a character

This is Sev, the distinguished and beautiful elder-bull! Sev is 10 years old and still believes she is a lap dog, she was meant to be a English Bull Terrier (someone forgot to tell her and she just kept growing) Sev loves everyone she was born March 2004, she wiggles her entire body to show how much she wants to be your friend. She was brought up by a grumpy Jack Russell so, not sure why, but cats and birds are not allowed. She is a couch slug and is happiest sleeping upside down on her couch these days
