bxtch-peas:
‘Oh heh, sorry about that sir,” he rubbed the back of his neck.
Raeger looked at him quizzically. He had paused and was observing him. If it was about his daughter then Raeger had nothing to do with whatever Minori may be up to. He mentally shrugged it off and took a quick picture of the notes on the board.
He was about to leave and head to his next class but the teacher asked him a question. Thank gods he wasn’t asked any questions while he was asleep.
What did he just ask? Did he not know? Even after all these years, his grandfather’s passing wasn’t something he could shrug and explain to whoever didn’t know. It wasn't Mr. Fitzgeralad’s fault though. It might have helped if he had had someone to talk to about it at the time. Now it was just an awkward topic he didn’t really like explaining.
He didn’t like to think of his grandfather as gone. He always liked to think of him as if he was there especially when he was cooking.
“Oh um… I guess you didn’t know about my grandfather? He uh. He passed some time ago,“ he bit the bottom of his lip.
A wave of guilt swept upon the old man’s face just realizing the consequences of him merely asking. How did he not know? Surely, he’d learnt of it a while ago-- but perhaps not. Considering Klaus would always been in and out of Oak Tree so many of a time, despite it feeling like it was home. “My condolences Raeger, your grandfather.....was just an excellent man as he were as a chef. I’m sorry to hear about his passing just now, but- I’m sure he’s proud of you as he was like with before. He never would had stopped talking about you, heh.” Mr. Fitzgerald could even vividly see it, the last time he had spoken with the boy’s grandfather like it were yesterday. Tipping the good ol’ mans mason jar while stuffing his mouth with a brownie. Klaus decided that perhaps it was best to try not to let his student dwell on such negative thoughts- but he wasn’t so certain that even relaying such ancient information of the past would mean anything good to the student now. And yet, he still had to end his thought process.  “It’s a shame he’s gone though, moreso for you-- I’m sure. I would kill to have any more of his bouillabaisse, or even his brownies. They were the best.”  “Do you still cook, Raeger? If you don’t mind me asking.”

lestweregret:
Time had been ticking away as of late, as Lest preoccupied himself with the usually hustle and bustle of life. It wasn’t like him to get too caught up in the small bumps on the road, since he had always been one to bounce back with a smile. But lately, life was serving him a bad hand of cards. He never was a deep sleeper, but lately, he found himself a bit shaken in resolve– particularly when the darkest hours of the night crept in.
That day– as he entered his dorm. She had welcomed him with open arms and a familiar light in her eyes. What was that? There was no recollection at all, not even a trace–especially not when he was awake. But when he slept, it felt like he was hanging right off a precipice, precariously posed to fall. It was like there was something that was almost there, but just barely out of reach. Yet when he looked down from that precipice, there was only a pit of darkness.
And if he took too long a look, he would abruptly tip off the edge. And fall. And fall. And fall. If he looked up, that precipice morphed into a cobblestone bridge, and it would ominously get farther as he fell deeper into the void. As for the worst part: that lurching feeling in his stomach wouldn’t wake him up. There was no kick, no sudden punch of breath out of his lungs. He would keep falling until he forced himself to wake up. And then, it was back to black; that darkness of his room was more preferable than the endless ones in his dreams.
Tumblr media
So he decided– it’d be smarter just to talk it out with someone. And the psychology instructor was just the person he wanted to talk to. It was one of his favorite classes, and he seemed to be very reliable. It wouldn’t hurt. Perhaps it would be a good idea to ask about lost memories as well. Since that was probably what was haunting his nights, like a noose above his head.  “Mr. Fitzgerald?” He ducked into class and took a glance about. Oh. He wasn’t there. Maybe outside then?
Humming, he strolled down the hallway, taking in the scenery that spilled from the windows. Lest approached the courtyard,  It was then that he saw the same dark figure he was so familiar with from classes. But from behind, Mr. Fitzgerald’s back looked particularly… worn. Shoulders broad and head lowered, back crooked in a relaxed form. Perhaps it was the years that he had on him, that rumored history he had hanging above his head.
“Mr. Fitzgerald? Can I ask a question about our last lecture?”
He retracted it quite fast, but Lest managed to catch a glimpse of that cigarette before it disappeared. Lest supposed he wasn’t supposed to see that– what, with the strict guidelines and procedures of this academy. So he respectfully pretended he hadn’t seen it– can’t particularly judge a man’s past times if it wasn’t bothering anybody, after all.
“If you’re busy though, I’ll come over at another time, haha. Don’t worry about it.”
This old wolf’s tense shoulders relaxed shortly after realizing the person whom came to see him was none other than his student, Lest. He was a rather bright boy, and wrote interesting takes on his essays for class. His mind was quite extraordinary for a boy his age, well-- that’s how the teacher thought on it. Mr. Fitzgerald beckoned for the boy to come over. “Why hello Lest, pleasure to have you around. There wasn’t much you were interrupting really, just... taking in the fall scenery. And it’s better with good company around. “ Klaus crosses his hands and rests his chin on them, waiting for the student to take a seat. “Now if I recall correctly, you were asking about something in regards to the last lecture, yes?” Klaus pondered on what his student may needed. There were a ton of subjects he went over in his class and hopefully it was something he could assist with. The human mind has many more discoveries to unfold, you know.

minoriii:
Equals? Minori wondered if she was included on that statement, but decided it would be best to ask him about that later. When she heard the answer she hoped for, which was “of course, you’re above them in my eyes, sweetheart,” she wanted to make sure no one else could overhear it. It would cause real trouble for her, not that it wouldn’t be anything she couldn’t handle. There may or may not have been worse before.
With two fingers in the shape of a V resting gently on her head and a smile, she spoke.
Tumblr media
“You all already know me, name’s Minori Rees! I’m a junior, volleyball captain, and Mr. Fitzgerald is my dad, so don’t expect me to call him the same way you will.”
She eyed everyone and as her eyes traced the room from left to right, an index finger followed to point at each of the students.
“I don’t want to hear any of you call him dad or we might have some problems.”
Klaus could not help but softly chuckle into his hand, it was nice to see her well-jovial-- and filled with life. Though her calling him dad was both a blessing and a curse from now on. The man knew it, the students knew it. And despite Minori’s warnings- people are people and they’ll find their way around things. “Thank you my dear, now take a seat-” such a slip of the tongue for such endearing words, but Fitzgerald appreciated the sentiment greatly. “If any of you students dare to call me father, I promise you-- I’ll send you to time out.” The whole class burst out into laughter, I mean who wouldn’t? With such a ridiculous warning as that. Fitzgerald smoothly diffused the situation and carried on with his botany class. Figuring out what and where did most of these students left off. Getting to know them a little, and when finally the class bell rung-- he wondered if it were out of line to talk to his daughter for just a moment.  “Minori.”

minoriii:
Class was a bore as always and with a new teacher coming in today, the first couple of minutes after the bell were a free-for-all for all the students in the class. Chattering echoed through the room as did the sounds of clicking and tapping as they all had their founds out and on, contrary to classroom policies. But there was no teacher so who cared, right?
Minori sat at her desk but faced the back of the classroom talking to the group of teenagers behind her. The month of October was a busy one for the school and everyone was coordinating outfits for the events and already making plans for the winter break. When the time turned for Minori to talk about her plans, she wasn’t exactly sure. She hadn’t seen her dad in awhile and when she thought about going home, there was the possibility that he wouldn’t be there. There was no doubt in her mind that if she called, he would make time for her, but she didn’t want to mess up his work schedule. She was older now and realized that the times she would ask him to take off when she was younger impacted his work and could have potentially been part of the reason of why he left so often.
Tumblr media
Usually as she spoke, it would go uninterrupted - she could ignore any extra person who wasn’t invited into the conversation. But this time… It was different. The voice that rang out her name sounded all too familiar and caught her attention like someone who rang a bell for a dog. And just as quickly as the dog would have turned, Minori did.
“Dad!”
Not even thinking about the words that left her mouth, she stood up at her desk, hands resting on the top with a beaming smile. She wasn’t like most kids who might have been embarrassed about their parent working at the school they were attending. No, she was the opposite. She was ecstatic to be able to have him around more.
At least she looked to be in good health, that was a relief. A soft gentle smile escaped his lips as this was thankful for such the touching reunion, despite its unorthodox setting. Which that reminded him-- as the kids were already giggling like they do-- to carry on with the class.  “Good to have you here.”
Klaus neither wanted to confirm or deny the the alleged commentary that she claimed. It wasn’t that she was wrong, it’s just Fitzgerald was trying to put out any possible fires before chaos ensued. And yet, the wolf would want to protect his child from any harm. Sigh...  So might as well take the bullet. He slowly paces around the room, arms behind his back- with his shoes clinking on the floorboard. “I’m sure you guys are just as surprised as I am, to have find that their student be their precious offspring- but be well aware, I won’t be giving you guys extra credit favors for being friendly with her. I hope you know, child or not, I shall treat you all as equals in the classroom.” Klaus finally stops and turns his face towards to his daughter again, with a cheekiness grin that somehow makes the old father look younger. “ Would you care to introduce yourself to me and the class, Miss Ree?”

It’s been quite the ride for Klaus these past few weeks, with  teaching and all that jazz. Not that he would trade it for the world, (especially he finally gets more time to spend with his daughter.) as learning new things is what truly living is.  Unfortunately not all people would think the same of that, but in due time. After Mr. Fitzgerald goes over the properties of systematic botany- describing the the range and diversity of organisms and their relationships, determined by their evolutionary history. He takes a mental note to  see that the redhead in the classroom has been dozing off, and yet does nothing of it. No need to call out someone like that and bring such embarrassment. Oh the perks of also taking (and teaching) psychology. You’re lucky this time, Mr. Klein.  As the students exit the room one by one, Mr. Fitzgerald starts to wipe the board before Raeger stops him by speaking-  “Oh, nice to have you in this realm, Mr. Klein. “ He scoffs, then continues. “ You are well aware you could take a picture of these notes up here on the board.” He pauses, as Klaus observes the young man-- a splitting image of his parents-- and his grandfather’s eyes. “I’ll give you a moment.”
“And Raeger-- do tell me how your grandfather is doing? I much admired his cooking and I’d love to send him my regards.”
Not Your Grandfather’s Brownies But Close Enough || Klaus and Raeger
@totheseblueroses
Raeger sighed. Botany wasn’t his most exciting class, but he could manage to sit through it without drifting to sleep. At least that was before the cute swim teacher changed.
Not too long ago, a new teacher replaced her. Mr. Fitzgerald. He looked really familiar, Raeger just couldn’t figure out why. Maybe it was someone he met when he was younger. Eh, who knows. For now, he just tried to focus on taking notes on whatever they were discussing in class that day. Tried.
Usually, he didn’t fall asleep in most of his classes, but he must not have gotten enough sleep last night. Raeger dozed off and was rudely awoken by the bell dismissing the class. He was packing up his things and realized he didn’t get the last bit of notes. Shoot.Maybe Mr. Fitzgerald could take pity on him and send him the rest of the notes.
He stayed back for a moment while everyone else cleared out. Next period was only study hall so he wouldn’t be missing much.
“Hey, Mr. Fitzgerald? I uh.. didn’t get the last bit of notes. Could you e-mail them to me?” he asked. Please say yes.

michilette:
If Felicity wasn’t so cute, Michelle might have murdered her by now. Er, or… Well, maybe murder was too extreme of a word, but God! Who just dumps their responsibilities onto someone else?
Maybe this was karma. Coming back around to get her.
Her heels click against the sidewalk as she speed-walks to the place where Felicity had told her to meet this guy – a new staff member, evidently – and of course he’s already there. At least, she can only assume this is him, because Felicity had conveniently left out any kind of description of him. Maybe she didn’t know herself, actually. He was new.
He speaks first, and she flashes him a bright grin in kind, all signs of her previous annoyance gone.
“Right you are~! Sorry, I’ll be filling in for Felicity today, hope that’s okay! You must be… Mr. Fitzgerald then? Klaus, right?”
Tumblr media
That was a close one. She almost forgot his name, for a second.
For a fleeting second, Klaus ponders if this woman before him did this quite often. She definitely had this air of professionalism and wit to her, and he could even imagine her teaching. Consider him charmed.
Then it finally hits him that this Devereaux was certainly a woman no doubt. And thus he takes a mental note to thank her in proper later, after figuring out what classes she teach. But for now, his attention was on Michelle--since she was already taking time out of her day to show this man around.
“That is correct.”
He says it firm and so matter-of-factly as he too, were teaching. Ten points to ravenclaw. ( Or would this woman be a slytherin? )
“And It’s not a problem at all!” The tall man reassures her, “In fact, I commend your ability to adapt already. Although I am quite grateful for Miss Devereaux ‘s kindness. I feel most welcomed. “ In all professions that he had held, this was one were people had treated him with respect right at the get go. Not that his previous jobs held no respect for him, it was more something that had to be earned. Either way, no road worth taking is ever easy.
“Anyways, shall we be off? I’m sure you have many things to do than spend it with an old man like me.”

“Well, like I said, nice to meet and greet ya, Klaus!” Was Illuminata’s choice of proceeding, skipping any formalities of calling him in a professional way or by his last name. She was never one for formalities unless they were necessary, after all. Though, she supposed if he asked or mentioned it, she’d go along with that whole last name business. And the way he was holding himself kinda made it seem like that was a thing that might happen….
Either way, she supposed. As long as she doesn’t accidentally shorten his last name to Fitzy and call or refer to him by it, everything should be golden!
Tumblr media
“Keeping with the measured response?” Illuminata said, though her tone suggested something of a question as she tipped her head side to side in mock thought. That was kind of boring. She was kind of hoping pressing him a little more like that would warent a more interesting reaction. Though she supposed his excuse worked well, if he really didn’t know anyone well yet, he probably wouldn’t be inclined to disclose such a question’s answer.
Not that many would disclose that sort of thing anyway.
“Okay then, I can respect that!” Or rather, she’d mind her time and wait to spring the question again. The first bird may get the worm after all, but it’s the second mouse that gets the cheese! And she was very good at biding her time when it came to “mysteries” or getting information she wants.
“And no worries, no worries about disappointment or anything!” She dismissed airily, turning and swiping up her paper from before, scribbling out an encrypted sentence. “Not like it was anything important, y’know? Actually, I guess I should apologize for it, huh? Heck of a shady question from a new coworker probably,” she continued, looking back to him with a sheepish grin. “So you’ve got my apologies!
“Yes I shall, thank you.”   He really appreciated her spunk, and character already. Such a lively woman. Klaus takes another sip out of his bitter and burnt coffee. Perhaps he’ll buy some beans for the department next time, if only so he doesn’t face another empty letdown of it again. One of the worst things that could happen during a break to ease your mind from a hectic class is terrible coffee. But this teacher wasn’t the kind to waste the drink. His eyes looked towards her hands in curiosity in just what was she was writing down on the paper. Gibberish perhaps, or not. Though it might be considered in ill taste and perhaps rude to ask what she may be doing. “It’s no problem really, we are all prisoners to our morbid curiosities. I don’t blame you in seeking for answers. “ Well that came out dark. Like this coffee, while he continues to slowly rid of it, gently placing it back down to the table.  “Or chasing some sort of thrill.”

miss-clem:
There were plenty of things about Maya that were big. Her heart, her personality, and her appetite to name a few. However her height… was a different matter. On her tippy toes, she stretched her arms far over her head, attempting to return a bottle of paprika to its rightful place on the shelf. Her cheeks rounded out from all the effort. Why the heck did she keep stuff up there, anyway? You would think that by now she would’ve decided to–
“Eep!” Maya let out a sudden squeak when she felt someone behind her. She whirled around, the bottle nearly slipping from her hand. But before it could, long fingers plucked it from her grasp, and she heard a low voice greeting her. A voice she never thought she’d never hear again, mind you! She got so used to talking to the man over text she nearly forgot what he sounded like.
“Klaus!” Maya cheered. Without hesitation she threw her arms around him, encircling both his elbows, and squeezed tight. Finally! She saw him in the flesh! “Why didn’t you tell me you started today?!”
Her gaze lifted, finding his eyes staring down at her, dark and deep, like an old forest from a fairy tale. Now that she remembered from orientation. Grinning, she released him and clasped her hands behind her back.
“I guess I’m going to need to call you Mr. Fitzgerald from now on, huh?” She hoped that wouldn’t confuse the students. Wasn’t there some other Fitzgerald guy the kids were learning about?
“So, Mr. Fitzgerald, since you’re so nice to offer, you wouldn’t mind…” A spark entered her eyes. “Spicing it up, would you~?” Maya pointed to the paprika in his hand then at the shelf. “Get it? Because I need you to put a spice up on the shelf!”
Of course he would catch her off guard, hopefully she wouldn’t reprimand him for that later on top of many things. Fitzgerald doth worry too much. “Oop.” His eyes widened due to the cause of her actions as she wrapped him into a warm embrace. It was oddly comforting, the feeling, the sensation-- but felt guilty because he couldn’t properly give her one in return due to his hands being so full.  Nonetheless, the old wolf takes solace in this fleeting moment. Even his smile was gentle and reached his weary eyes.  As she released him ( that silly little pig ) there was a prang of disappointment, but he won’t let it show. “Actually-- I've been here for the past two weeks. I just finally found the time and means to visit you in my busy schedule.”  With being a new teacher from now on, and playing catch up with his daughter Minori, it made it all too difficult for the man to keep up with pleasantries.
“You could call me whatever you wish.” Klaus says so smoothly with his eyes closed, then pauses-- opening them. “Except for daddy. Please don’t do that. Never call me that.” Already he was dealing with the aftermath of students calling him such things. Time out for everyone. He snickers and follows her request as a servant to his queen. “How cute. But of course.” The goddess had graced him with the gift of height, and what’s the use of not using it? Especially for one who loves bad puns like Klaus did.
“There. Oh and Maya, lest I forget--” The ravenous haired gentleman places a basket into little blondie’s arms. “These are for you.”

Lone Digger || Michi & Klaus
@michilette It was awfully kind for the welcoming committee to offer to show Klaus around the academy, though he felt like it wasn’t really that necessary. Generally this ol’ wolf was pretty adept in finding his way on his own. And yet, here he was- waiting for an Devereaux to come and greet him. This person in question had been insistent that they show him around, because it was ‘the right thing to do!’ And it would be awful of the man to just ignore their requests. It’s not like he had anything better to do. ( No, he had many other things he needed to do Like check on his daughter for instance. ) Klaus waited by the agreed location in which they agreed to meet- the fountains outside the school entrance. Sounds of the water trickling out of these stoned animals were rather peaceful. Strange choice to see water flowing out of a cow though. Or was it supposed to be a bull? He wasn’t so sure anymore. A vibration rumbled in his pants, and quickly Klaus’ hands reached for it. Reading the message, it turns out that this Devereaux person wasn’t going to meet him at all-- and that he should be expecting their best friend Michelle. Come to think on it, this person probably was a lady this whole time. But he would had still treated her the same like any other peers. That’s the gentlemanly thing to do, right? He responds in kind to the stranger whom had been kindly messaging him, and thanks them. Klaus wanted to ask more details about their ‘friend’ so he knew who to look for. It really didn’t matter though, as someone showed up .
“Pardon me asking, but are you Michelle?”

Oho~? Illuminata hadn’t realized she was talking to one of the newer teachers, so to get an actual response was a bit of a surprise. Anyone who’s been around the school long enough ignores her off the wall questions. Though… perhaps that had more to do with the type of person she would ask, rather than any preexisting reputation. Hmm, a thought for a different time.
“Alright, but I was asking for your opinion! With your beheld eye, what you thought!” She said, lifting her pen in the air as if making a point. “Like you say, it’s all subjective! I just wanna know your subjective opinion on if the Science Teacher is hot or nah!” She talked as if this was a normal question to ask her coworkers. Like it was completely mundane and everyday.
The mischievous grin on her face gave away otherwise though.
Tumblr media
“Why? It’s… ” Illuminata echoed with a blink, before picking up on the abrupt pause from not knowing her name. Spinning around and popping out of her seat, she all but bounced in place and struck a pose. “Oh, right! The name’s Maison! Illuminata Maison! Nice to greet and meet ya~!” She cheered, dropping the peace sign from her face to extend a hand towards the older man.
“And I ask as research!”She tacked on after a moment, as if that explained everything.
This woman was rather strange, the way she presented herself. He wondered why the redhead was as showy as she is. Fitzgerald gave her props for her personality, and for her introduction. It wasn’t everyday that you get to see something like that. The peace sign was a nice touch. Reminded him of the Saturday morning cartoons he used to watch with his daughter. “Well pleasure to meet you, Miss Maison.” He returned the shake in kind, maintaining eye contact, her hands were quite small compared to his. “It’s Klaus. But the students may know me as Fitzgerald. “ Klaus wasn’t so sure if he should be more suspicious or amused by his fellow coworker before him. She was certainly quite animated. Though his eyes gazed at her eagerly waiting to write his answer. Which remains the question:  Was the science teacher hot or not?...But does it even actually matter? The teacher himself pondered if his own class counted as a science, most definitely it had.  Yet... Klaus wasn’t much the kind of person to be as to vain to say he were attractive or not.
“Honestly..”
He chucked to himself, tapping his fingers on the table by were the coffee had remained. “ I am rather new here, so I really don’t have an personal opinion formed just yet. So i’ll be sticking with my original answer though. Sorry for the disappointment. ” It was a safe, neutral response he thought. Yet this was quite entertaining.

Klaus’ costume choice wasn’t too terribly difficult to choose, considering the other peers in his group were deciding to be pirates in the first place. Technically the Dread Pirate Roberts counts right? It’s all in the name you know.
It was from an wonderful movie, and equally as wonderful book- The Princess Bride. He wondered if he could even pull the character off, especially with his raven colored hair. It was as if he blended into the darkness. Though you really weren’t supposed to see much of his hair in the first place.  Mr. Fitzgerald put on his boots and took another glance in the mirror. At the very least, he will be in good company. His daughter was around, so were her friends- and some new coworkers to mingle with. Or so he thought.

It was midday. Which meant time for coffee for Mr. Fitzgerald. Normally he would take the time to stop by the cafeteria, but the teacher’s lounge was just a bit closer and he wanted to try to see if the employee’s here knew how well to prepare a cup of joe. Pouring some of the hot liquid into his Styrofoam cup, Klaus took a nice whiff of the pleasant aroma. He wondered if the school actually did took some time to fund for some quality beans or not. It shouldn’t matter so much though, it was at least free. Klaus begins to take a sip until he heard a voice speak across the room.
“Pardon?” His brow quirked as he placed his cup down on the counter, (it was probably far too hot anyways.) crossing his arms- observing the woman. Such a precarious question- he felt a bit suspicious of walking into some sort of trap. Better thread carefully with that one. “Personally, I wouldn’t know such an answer for that question. I like to believe that beauty is subjective and it’s in the eye of the beholder. For the most terrifying of monsters could be objects of beauty if viewed in a different light.” Klaus’ hands fall to his sides as he reaches out for his cup to take a sip. Well this tastes a bit overcooked, that’s too bad. Such a disappointment. Klaus continues to drink his coffee anyway.
“Why do you ask, Miss--” Just what was her name? He probably should know all of his peers by now.

Illuminata wasn’t really a good person. At least, that’s what she gathered people thought about her, given their responses to her shenanigans. With reactions ranging from mild confusion to sheer rage though, perhaps her pool of data was a bit skewed because of the types of people she worked with. And sure, there were a certain few who gave her the right kinds of reactions, the positive kind, but they felt so few and far between~! But that was fine.
The negative reactions fueled her needs just as well!
“Let’s see, let’s see~!” She hummed quietly to herself, tapping a pen to her lips as she sat in the Teacher’s Lounge during one of her free periods. In front of here sat a paper, filled with what looked like gibberish, although in reality it’s true words were just hidden with a cipher.
Tumblr media
“Would you say the Science Teacher is hot, or nah?” She asked almost offhandedly, glancing over at another in the room. The only give away that it wasn’t a random thought was the mischievous glint in her eyes. She was being purposefully vague, of course.

Weight of his world
@minoriii Ever since he had sent his daughter out to this academy many moons ago, Klaus has had selfish wishes for himself to go there as well. There was something comforting knowing your child was in a safe environment, but that sense of comfort expanded in tenfold while he knew he could be around Not that he doubted that Minori couldn’t defend herself, or stand her own ground- for he taught her many ways of self defense and told her to never give into pressure and stray from her own path. Klaus was well aware she grew up to become her own person and he was awfully proud of his cub, if there was anything he had done right in his life-- it was her.  Naturally he felt a lot of remorse for always being a spotty existence in her life, and had spent every lulled moment he had thinking if she ever resented him for that. The man knew he wasn’t the best father in the world, but he knew that he would do everything in his power to be better than his own. So when Mr. Fitzgerald was presented with the opportunity to teach at the academy, after many years of travels and practice- he was personally elated by the news of it. He wanted to tell his daughter himself once he had finished his classes for the day, a nice surprise- perhaps take her out for ice cream or anything. Maybe show her his condo, anything- just anything. It almost feels like he was given a second chance and he wanted to make the best of it. Naturally respecting any space she may need though. It was the third class of the day and Klaus was doing his all-too-well rehearsed lectures and formalities for this group of students. Told what the students needed to know about himself, and what he will be teaching for the year. Mr. Fitzgerald decided to make things into a game while his students introduced themselves. Learnt about some of their hobbies, what they like doing and--he noticed there was a student in the back not really paying attention. There was a sense of familiarity with her, until he took a second glance and it nearly stopped him in his tracks. “ Minori?” Doesn’t this school realize that he’s her father? Perhaps it was an easy error to have done that, considering they both have different last names and all. He was pleasantly surprised that she was here, but already knew that he couldn’t just play favorites in the classroom. Even if it were his daughter.

Camaraderie || Maya & Klaus
@miss-clem
In the time that Klaus had known Maya, she already clicked with him enough to become such a close friend. The strawberry blonde, was always bursting and bumbling with energy- a light in everyone’s darkness- and he couldn’t be helped to be drawn to her like animals to the water. Of course, Klaus felt like he himself, was a terrible, terrible friend. On top of him reuniting with his daughter, and trying to get settled back in- he hasn’t actually paid the cooking teacher herself a visit. Naturally he may respond in kind to a text here and there, but Fitzgerald worried that perhaps Maya herself may feel like she’s talking to a void. He hoped not. And so it was quite a deal for the man to take the gall to meet her in front of her classroom, waiting for the bells to ring. He hoped no one would think too much of it, or he appeared too forward- especially since he was holding a basket filled with high quality cheeses and chocolates. (With a few cute pumpkin trinkets here and there.) Klaus didn’t wish to scare his friend away, or give off the wrong impression. Admittedly, it’s been a while since he had anyone to consider a dear friend, and this old wolf didn’t want to lose that connection. You could be the loneliest wolf in the world, and still have the desire to not be alone. Although if it were to be like that, Klaus knew he could survive. The bell rings and students exit the room one by one. A few of them stay there a bit longer to speak to Miss Clementine herself, one even gives her a big hug before they go off. Klaus smiles at that interaction. But was it strange for him to be watching? He slowly enters the room while the last kid stumbles off. He notices her doing something--perhaps trying to put an object high up and away- and decides to intervene.
“Is there something I could do to help, Maya?”  He sheepishly grins with a low chuckle as he grabs the object out of her hand.
