FARAH and DAMIEN

work had been been exceptionally busy in the past few weeks ( his job seemed to work in a cycle ; moving constantly for a moment before ebbing to a lull ), meaning his social contact with anyone had been few and far between. however, for a man of his disposition, that didn’t entirely bother him. yet, there were a few people in is life he would actively 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮 for, farah boutros being one of them. she was an old family friend, though the pair had become something less stiff and formal than that, which is why the tall male insisted on making time for the blonde and taking her out to lunch. he had arrived at the restaurant a few moments ago, and took a table to wait for her. 

a quick text to let her know he had already arrived, and then damien settled in —— leaning back in his chair and letting the server know that water would be just fine with him, and that he will be holding off on ordering as a friend would be joining him. when he spotted her coming through the door, he rose to his feet to great her. ‘ farah, ’ he said, a gentle smile painted on his features, reaching out to give her a quick hug, before moving back to pull out the chair for her. ‘ how have you been ? ’

DAMIEN and CÉLINE 

damien hadn’t interacted with the young model since her show, if you could even call that interaction ; a prompt and exactly on time arrival, a 𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓯𝓯 𝓭𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓴 as he watched her set, followed by a timely departure  ——  not once did the tall male actually speak to céline, further than a smile and polite nod from his seat when she spotted him. he, however, didn’t see it as doing anything ᴡʀᴏɴɢ in particular ; he didn’t know her particularly well ( just another pretty girl who shared an occupation and ran in similar circles to cherry, which wasn’t a relation bound to give the brunette any favors from damien ) and he hadn’t failed to follow through on anything he said he would. he told céline he would attend her show, and he had. nothing less, but nothing more. 

the young man’s office hours were flexible to say the least  ——  so long as he got what he needed to done, met and played nice with the correct people, and closed the deals he told his father he would, damien was allowed a certain amount of 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓮𝓭𝓸𝓶 in his whereabouts during the workday ( the day off, he had mentioned to céline, was simply him not having any scheduled meetings or due dates, a rarity in itself ). he had a meeting in an hour, but until then he could be where he wished, and after spending most of the day yesterday in his office   ——  a very nice office for an executive of his age, damien decided he needed a change of scenery. and so, he found himself walking from his office, dress shoes making a satisfying noise against the cement, his feet directing him to a small cafe a few blocks away. he ordered at the counter, before turning to find a seat, and that’s when he saw ʜᴇʀ. 

                       ‘ hey ’ he said, in an easy tone. not overtly friendly, but not cruel either. ‘ how’re you ? ’

CELINE: well, i'm having my first show alone tomorrow. at a private venue. it's like, me and three other singers. wanted to know if you'd be interested in going? if you can find time to spare on your day off, that is. i know those are few and far between.

* shamelessly baits y’all into plotting with me via shirtless dshar gifs * hello my dudes ! i’m red and this is damien who’s an old oc of mine ; he’s been through a quite a few iterations but i’m pumped to be bringing him here !

a daniel sharman lookalike was strolling down broadway street in their john lobb low tops. damien brekker just had a birthday bash for his twenty fourth birthday. he has been living in new york city for his whole life. i hear he tends to be turbulent at parties, but also kind of charismatic. ( cismale & he/him )

so damien is somewhere between a trust fund baby and an actual business man. he’s the oldest of elias brekker ( a well known ceo of an investment firm ) and his first wife julia. the younger is damien’s younger sister tatiana, who’s in her late teens/early twenties. tatiana is the princess of the family and damien is their crown prince, expected to take over his father’s position eventually. 

elias and julia have always had a rockey relationship at best, with julia being completely aware that elias was seeing other women. however none of them posed a threat before cherry, a model half elias’ age who convinced him to leave his wife and damien’s mother for her. 

at which point damien almost abandoned his place by his father’s side and in a position of power in the company but julia, lovely and ruthless kingmaker that she is, convinces him to stay. even though she’s getting a good amount of money in settlement, having damien leaving the company wouldn’t be a great business move for either of them. 

so right now he’s playing nice with his father and his new fiance eve though he can’t stand her and is seriously pissed at his dad. at this point it’s all about appearances.

personality wise damien is kind of a complicated little duck. he used to be nicer, but at this point he’s kind of gone into survival mode. he feels like his family is falling apart so at the moment he’s really only concerned with himself and his sister. still, like i said, he’s good with appearances so he tends to be amiable, if not a bit abrupt. he tries to distract himself with the party life and his work and that’s where he is right now. 

he’s kind of stagnant but i’m hoping some connections will get him to change and develop more fully! thanks so much for reading and if you’d like to plot maybe give this post a like to shoot me a message !
