it  took  jordan  most  of  the  day  to  decide  she  was  coming  here.  even  on  the  drive  over,  she  thought  about  turning  around  and  going  back  home  every  time  she  passed  a  side  road  or  a  parking  lot.  her  only  connection  to  karofsky  was  getting  the  occasional  slushee  facial  after  she  had  decided  she  was  done  being  the  aloof  new  kid  and  threw  herself  at  the  mercy  of  the  student  body  as  another  mezzo-soprano  in  new  directions—yet  after  hearing  about  what  happened  and  having  a  week  of  share  circles  and  lectures  on  how  it  gets  better,  what  she’s  doing  now  makes  sense.

‘  well,  I  know  from  personal  experience  how  shitty  the  food  is  here,  and  I  thought  I’d  bring  you  some  goodies  from  the  outside.  ’   she  lifts  up  the  pizza  box,  managing  a  small  smile  that  doesn’t  last  long  as  she  sets  it  down  on  a  nearby  table.  there’s  a  silence  that’s  not  quite  uncomfortable  yet  not  quite  amicable  either,  as  she  looks  at  a  chair  one  moment  before  taking  a  seat,  hands  clasped  together,  elbows  resting  on  her  knees.   ‘  I  also  figured.....  if  you  have  to  talk  to  anyone  about  this,  at  least  today,  it  might  be  better  if  it’s  someone  familiar  with  public  shaming  and  hate  speech.  ’

       there’s so much anger inside him. why the hell is he like this? why can’t he shut these feelings out, be normal, and just live without anyone giving him any shit? he can’t stop thinking about what other people think, about how everyone he’d thought he’d made friends with had been one wrong turn away from completely tearing him down. because one dude caught him so much as hanging out with one other dude, he’s spiraled right into this hospital bed. as much as it shames him when someone walks in to visit, he can’t help but crave their company. the people who know he’s here know why he’s here and they care about him anyway. he doesn’t deserve it.

       when jordan walks in, confusion morphs his features and he shifts to sit up some, looking her over. “… what are you doing here?”

8.5/10  great  fucking  movie,  has  solid  cult  classic  horror  potential,  joe  did  a  great  job,  love  the  style  and  editing,  was  unnerving  as  hell  at  the  right  times  and  in  the  best  ways

i’m  not  projecting  at  all  but  jordan  would  really  enjoy  classic  video  games  like  the  super  mario  games,  donkey  kong  countries  1-3,  the  og  sonic,  sonic  cd,  etc.

jordan’s  very  private  about  her  assault  before  she  gets  to  college  ( and  even  then  she’s  still  not  super  open  about  it )  so  if  she  confides  in  your  muse  about  what  happened  to  her  after  transferring  to  a  new  school,  that  means  she  trusts  them  completely  and  that’s  really  huge  for  her

there’s  a  twist  in  her  stomach  as  palm  cradles  cheek,  fingers  running  through  otherwise  neatly  combed  hair—small  details  don’t  matter  in  the  moment.  not  when  she  can’t  hold  back  the  tears  spilling  out  of  her  eyes  ( no  matter  how  hard  she  tries  to  blink  them  back ),  not  when  she’s  clinging  to  the  only  shred  of  hope  she  has  left.  inhale,  exhale,  try  not  to  choke  on  a  sob  as  forehead  rests  on  forehead—and  without  so  much  of  a  second  thought,  lips  press  firmly  against  his  own.  she  doesn’t  dwell  on  how  he  tenses  and  doesn’t  linger  long  enough  for  him  to  relax.   ‘  please—I  need  you.  I  can’t  do  this  without  you,  I—  ’   speech  falters,  pause  fills  the  air,  one  second,  two  seconds,  three  seconds,   ‘  I—   ’   lather,  rinse,  re—   ‘  shit.  ’

all  at  once  the  illusion  is  dropped;  she  pulls  away,  reaching  into  her  back  pocket  to  pull  out  a  folded  up  piece  of  paper.  she’s  quick  to  unfurl  it,  eyes  scanning  the  page  painted  with  pink  highlighter,  scrawled  with  notes,  until  she  finds  what  she’s  looking  for  and  sighs.   ‘  okay,  I’m  going  to  remember  the  line  this  time—or  else  I.....  owe  you  a  soda.  sound  good?  ’
