This Real Mom

My name says everything there is to know about me. I am a real mom of a 2 year old, trying to do everything right in a world where everyone is always wrong!

How do I do it?

Let me be real with you; I don’t!

I’m truly failing at this parenting thing! I do everything wrong at every corner! And that’s okay! Because I am a real mom, doing what I need to do so I don’t lose my mind!

I give my kid chocolate. I let him stay up late sometimes to watch a movie with me. I let him play in the dirt. I take him to hunt rocks. I believe that Mac n Cheese and hotdogs for dinner is not cheating. I let my child sleep in my bed. We watch at least 3 episodes of Paw Patrol a day. I do so many other things that people believe are wrong, but I’m being a real mom.

The real mom that will bend for the m&m’s so she doesn’t break when there’s a meltdown. The real mom that doesn’t go to the gym or try every new thing that comes out.

I’m that real mom that calls her sister just to cry about something because life for a real mom can be overwhelming!

I’m #thisrealmom that will always be supportive, no matter what your parenting choices. Because in a world where you are always wrong, it’s nice to have that person who believes you are right!
