Do you ever think about the generational divide in Swtor?
Think back to the base game. There has been 10 years since the Great Galatic War. The GGW was about 30 years. It was a hundred years of darkness but it was a pretty long war.
any character who starts the game over 50 remembers a time before the war, before the Sith returned to the galaxy.
Anyone between the ages of 30 and 10 was born during the war.
Anyone between 40 and 15 grew up watching the war.
Imagine how that affects teaching and generational relationships. The oldest generations who remembers life before and then youngests that never knew peace.
There are at least two generations of Jedi who didn’t know peace. There’s a generations of Sith that grew up when Jedi were theoretical monsters.
And now the generations born in war are old enough to do the teaching and have their own children.

In a way I'm too currently tired and braindead too unpack here that really makes it make more sense that in the old republic every force user and their dog can do all these impressive feats, like 'force lightning? I used to do that to warm up my milk in the bottle' but by the time you get to the OT the Force is empty and disconnected and good luck with that
Can you even imagine how loud the Force was during the Old Republic? Thousands and thousands of Jedi and Sith and Force sensitives running around and doing every buckwild thing that occurs to them and being born and dying. There’s so much cross-static, and they’re talking to each other across the galaxy, and every Force Sensitive grows up with their psychic radio turned to max.
And by the Prequels its down to about 10,000 trained Force sensitive. The Jedi are strung out like stars and can feel the others so clearly and so brightly.
And then in a few minutes Order 66 snuffs it all out. The Force goes radio silent and dark, and Coruscant, home, is a black hole where a star used to be. It’s probably so easy for Vader and the inquisitors to find Jedi because there isn’t any cross-static apart from the normal background noise of Life just doing its thing. The survivors have to be so small and quiet to not be found. It’s terrifying every time an inquisitor or Vader gets too close, and they have to stuff everything down deep and hold their breath and pray they blend in just enough.

People who post SWTOR fic with your OCs, a question;
Do you publish it to Tumblr directly, or link from a site like Ao3?
Here's a pic of my new chickens for tax purposes

Feyda didn’t train on Tython when he was with the Jedi. He was taught at a smaller enclave on Alderaan. There were trips to other temples, learning excursions, and he was on Tython when it was attacked during the Shadow of Revan times, but other than that, it was all mostly at that enclave nestled deep in the snowy mountains.
(Basically, I am excited there is an Alderaan SH now because you get your buttons I’m building it).
I never decided if anything happened to it after the Eternal Empire struck, or whether it’s still there. I imagine he would have some mixed feelings if he ever return for whatever reason. Maybe it was abandoned. Maybe it was blown away by the Eternal Fleet in a planetary bombardment. I bet that statue is still there though, and I bet he hated it.
#SWTOR#swtor screenshots#Feyda#Alderaan#Alderaan SH#yeah he has some warped ideas of the Jedi#maybe one day I'll start posting the fic#stronghold

Melbourne, Australia.
I go to university, and yesterday classes were cancelled for the rest of the week in prep for beginning an online delivery next week. Lots of schools are closing but it hasn’t been enforced yet. Shit’s fucked. Worried about how it’ll effect my marks. Supermarkets look like scenes out of zombie apocalypse films.
everyone do me a favor and rb with where you live and if you’re getting school/work off bc of coronavirus
#I live in Australia#plague is a symbol of poor leadership#seriously kinda worried about running out of groceries because of everyone fuckin panic buying shit#coronavirus
