Week 10:

The two things that have occupied all my time have ended. Midterms, and the Last of Us.

I loved watching this show almost as much as I loved the game. There are obviously some big differences. But nothing that made me hate the show. I am so sad it is done now. But I cannot wait for it to return.

Week 8:

After I completed the line art of this piece I kind of fell in love with it a little bit. So I wanted to take a bit more time completing this piece. Putting a lot of time into finding a “rendering” technique (if I can call it rendering).

Also, I have finally found two brushes that I finally like for painting and line art. Now I just gotta work on consistency of style.

Also I think it is about time I named this OC.

Week 6:

I present you, the Blue-Footed Booby

These birds are so funny to me (mostly because of the name) but also because of just how vibrant the color of their feet are!!

I posted this one late for week 5. But it was still only Saturday so week 6 had not started yet. It counted!

Hehehe I was actually working on this earlier this week and was just gonna finish it on Friday. But life got busy and cold and I watched a movie and then suddenly I was tired so I went “hey, I’ll do this in the morning.”

But yes! I wanted to try out drawing some faces since I always feel like I draw very basic boring neutral expressions. I personally like the ponytail one the best. But I also hate drawing ponytails.

Week 5

I took the quiz on Wednesday and got Soldier. I had been hopping to get ruler but I am satisfied with my outcome. Especially because I find the description does match me pretty well. I’m just glad I don’t have to go through an identify crisis (sorry rulers).

But week 4 accomplished!

A bit harder to stay on top of these because in school full-time. But I shall do my best. Probs just getting sketches most of the time. Almost didn’t color this one.

Week 4

I have really been into Sky for almost a year now. And the Season of Remembrance just started when I did this piece.

With the Season of Remembrance now started I thought I would give it a shot of drawing the home space with a brand new wingless moth. Of course this isn’t a “true” moth because it does not have the starter hair. But I intend to draw more of sky and this hair is the one I wear most often.

Facial Expressions and poses are something I aim to improve upon this year. So for my second drawing of the year, I tried an angry face.

Week 2

Naw, it was the same for me. I went and looked at my art from 2022 and realized I barely made five pieces. So now I'm trying to set up myself for success, to a better 2023.

i went to make an art vs artist post and realised, i don’t think i’ve made 8 whole paintings in 2022. this year has not been… kind to my motivation.

here’s hoping 2023 will be better.

A New Year has begun and with it, I set what feels like a. . . uh. . . "reasonable," expectations, for myself?

2022 was rather hard for me and I was unable to dedicate a lot of time towards drawing. I want that to be different this year.

So my goal for 2023: draw something at least once a week and post it on Fridays.

I hope to stick to this. At this point in time I have done three drawings and I am working on number four.
