Fantastic service fabulous staff and good food and drinks - plenty snacks even ice cream

Short flight even got breakfast sandwich and water - unexpected

Economy class long haul brilliant

Plenty of space in economy - only thing flight out screens with remote controls and out of date programmes needs to be replaced ! Flight home touch screen much better !!!

Mangel Halto

The most perfect snorkelling spot ever ! Mangrove trees hang idyllically over the water and make for great shots

The fish are plentifull and the water knee high - there is a chanel you can swim right round and observe the fish and reef

TIP:

Off the beaten track and quiet some palapas no amenities

Beach slight stones and you could do with water shoes although I had none and managed

Boca Catalina

Beautiful cove not too busy in the week great for snorkelling and seeing all types fish

TIP: no restroom or food trucks or beach chairs and only limited palapas - mostly stones - some sort of footwear required near the car park as it’s broken coral and shells and spikes low plants that stick in the bottom of flip flops ! Further along its sandy but rocks as you go into the sea!

Fish can be seen close in with no snorkel from the top of water - see pics

Arikok National Park

Wow went by UTV and drove some of it ! Rockybas hell and adrenaline rush up and down sharp inclines great fun speeding on the sand - swim in the natural pool to wash the dust off!

TIP: experienced local guide was fab and local small company brill! Bandanna required as extremely dusty and dirty trip (this was provided )

Expect the ride if your life it’s great fun!

MooMba beach

Perfect in every way ! Lots sun sea sand - put white and ocean view and a foam party! Met some great ppl running the boats ferrying ppl from hotel to other beaches.

Tip seared tuna steak is the best ever meal !

Sunset Arashi Beach and Full moon California lighthouse !

Well Arashi beach was brill

Snorkelling fab and the sunset dreams are made of !

Tips: get there late afternoon and just chill until the sun starts to set you will get brilliant yellow orange red sky/sun and dreamy pics !

There is a beach cafe toilets and subbed hire - I was charged $5 from i3-6pm

The lighthouse is definitely worth a look (I didn’t go up but you can (super hot day and I’m told small cramped stairs ) didn’t fancy it !

You can see to Venezuela on a clear day ! Sadly no day trios as borders are closed due to immigration & drugs!

I will return here again before I leave as it’s a very special place to me now!

On plus side restroom are air conditioned heaven 😂

Nice food worth the money but not worth another $3 for a sprinkle blueberries

I get it everything is imported sadly at a premium !

Nice stroll around the harbour and lots of amazing lizard encounters !

Massive (made me feel like an ant - no ameba🙄😂) cruise liner in dock - how those things float 🤔

Downtown shopping mostly high end but found some local market type shops with good quality goods / souvenirs on offer! Couldn’t resist a tye dye tee shirt 😂 decent for the $

Trams are fun way to get around and free but not too frequent it seems !

Lots of helpful polite ppl today even though there was a rubbish bin demonstration (same all over - more money required - lots trucks and tooting shouting !)

Very hot day made me retreat to Starbucks lol!

Note : if you want to exchange money in the bank take a passport - drivers licence not enough

Shopped local on way back today - big Do It All supermarket and it sure lived up to its name !

Things to note although use dollars accepted everywhere change is given in florin (not everywhere !) annoying tbh

Today I was lucky enough to be able to get a taxi to South of the island Baby Beach andbky this did not disappoint ! Lots local points interest along the way and saw typical Aruba houses ! Carlos only speaks Spanish and myself English but some how we chatted the whole way !

First impressions - breath taking ...... clear blue calm water and white sand with Divi Divi trees and abundance of wildlife

TIP: hired a subbed $8

Probably should of hired a shade or stayed in shade more as red 🙄 used lots factor 30 - ocean friendly too !

Walked up and down soaking the atmoshphere and talked to the local children learning to swim I. The sea ! In awe of how good they are !

Tip: Snorkel is a must the fish AMAZING OMG yellow STRIPE AQUA BLUE PUFFY FISH SILVER FISH SND BIG FISH ! I could go on - needs to be seen !

I didn’t use the bar took my own snacks and the toilet is $2 tip off sadly

Purchased suncream on the way - supermarkets are all Chinese and the conversion of florin (local currency)to dollar is most def in their favour - again slightly miffed off !

I understand tourism is the only thing that keeps the island going too 🙄

Everything is very expensive here compared to UK - 4 apples $4 plus - I understand everything is imported as they can’t grown anything but cactus and coconuts and can’t plant new trees and dry hard ground - going forwards this can’t be good sadly

Chatted to some tourists also - it’s very relaxed vibe - although driving is a little crazy !

Transport from the airport wasn’t easy (kinda thought come out get in cab 🤷‍♀️🤣)nope lots conversation in Spanish 🤷‍♀️ shouting etc seemed nobody wanted to take me 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ anyway in the end a cab did - never experienced that before and argue over price one guy was on the make sadly - lone traveller maybe thought try his luck !!!anyway my apartment is perfect for just me all the necessary items and red hot powerful shower ! Supermarket 5 min walk but prices are high! Found another 20min walk and more reasonable ! I have NOT rented a car so these are walking times!

TIP: best items I have brought with me my trainers and new rucksack! Lifesavers 🥵

This place is in a resedentisal area and not for everyone - amenities are great and a lovely deep clean pool is a bonus (sitting there now writing this !) it’s an hour walk at least to Downtown (did this yesterday!) now I have found out buses are not conventional looking but small mini bus type and not always marked🤷‍♀️ - it would seem you can flag them down like a cab 🤷‍♀️ prices are good ! Tourist info assisted to find bus station and which bus to catch L10 goes to Eagle and Palm beach and further - beautiful beaches pure white sand pale blue clear warm waters ! Bus drivers are very helpful and the buses run back and forth till just before midnight !

BEWARE - female lone travellers - lots of horn tooting (shorts and t shirt nothing provocative - hey ho) main problem men pulling along side you offering lifts 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ really you’d be kinda daft to accept (not racist men of all nationalities and colour!) politely declined while kept on walking !!

NOTE: food bill comes with service charge added to be shared among staff - then a note on the bottom states gratuity not included 🤔🤔 thought that was same thing really ??

Pool day today and adventures continue tomorrow !

So fly KLM all the way !! So much food and fantastic quality too! Never had such good hot pasta! Ice cream was a nice touch too! Staff very helpful and attentive ! My second best airline ! Only down side entertainment screens - come on they badly need updating - TV shows from the 1990s 😂😂😂🙄🙄 and dreadful sound !!! Gave up in the end and after changing seat so I could use it - as my seat had no remote! Clean toilets tho didn’t run out of anything my 10 hour flight

“Watching the world go by”

I’ve allowed plenty of time for my connection as this is the first time I’ve done this ! So I have a couple hours to kill on the comfy seats !

I was worried initially but once you get there you kinda have to get on with things and find your way ! Plenty of ppl to ask but the signage and boards give you all the info you need and signs are bright yellow and large you can’t miss them!
