The fact that Jaskier/Dandelion doesn't have completely over the top, stunningly beautiful Polish traditional style embroidery on all of his clothes across all media versions of him, is a crime. CDPR, Hexer costume dept, and Netflix costume dept all had the opportunity to feature, imo, some of the most beautiful European traditional fiber arts on their one character who can, would, and does canonically wear the most elaborate and colorful outfits and then they just DIDNT!!!
Edit: I'm saying that I think "appealing to westerners" is a stupid reason to avoid showcasing beautiful cultural traditional crafts and I think every oppressed culture all over the world should adopt an "eat it, bitch" attitude and make their media as unique to their cultural dress and as beautiful as possible. LOTS of oppressed cultures have, too, so like 🤷🤷🤷 Also CDPR made all the little houses painted with florals, so I know they don't shy away from Slavic influences in design so not making Dandelion a pretty Polish fancy boy in mass amounts of floral and geometric embroidery IS a crime.

“That’s bullshit,” Jaskier said, his usual reply to whenever she’d insist she couldn’t feel, “You know it is.” He moved his lute aside and set it on the floor so he could reach forward and take one of her hands. “You tell yourself that because you don’t want to get hurt, but it stops you from enjoying everything wonderful in the world... The relief when you get into bed after a long day, the comfort of a warm bath, the wonder of all the stars in the sky.” He was getting lost in his words, absentmindedly running a thumb over her hand. “What’s the point in living if you don’t love, as well?”
“ i just like seeing you happy. ” - @thewhitewolfsbard
"Witchers don't feel emotion.." she felt this was becoming a regular reminder for Jaskier and ad much as she loathed to admit it, like a deviant in denial, she was experiencing feelings. She experienced a lot with Jaskier, her precious Dandelion teaching her just what she was feeling. Its how she came to realise it was him that she was in love with but the reminder was not only for him. Witchers live until they grow too slow and die to the hands of a beast, it would be unfair for Jaskier to grow old and wither away while she stayed young. "We aren't meant to feel emotion..."

Mousesack: Who the fuck is that?

your love is my turning page
(based on “Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last because I listened to it the other day and cried like…twice)
tw: whump, major character ‘death’, blood mention, canon typical violence but only briefly, snuggling, fluff
—
Geralt cradled the bard’s body gently against his chest as he exited the keep, which was burning to a massive stony heap behind him. His amber gaze was blank and his mouth formed a thin, grim line as he moved steadily towards the side of the path ahead, where Roach and the sorceress were waiting for his triumphant return. How disappointed they would be.
Yennefer gasped and covered her mouth with her hand when she finally saw what Geralt was carrying, her tone utterly disbelieving. “No, Geralt. Tell me it isn’t true. Please tell me that he isn’t-”
“We didn’t make it in time, Yen.”

I got really inspired by @limrx and her amazing pirate drawings…
“Galleon to port!” Jaskier swung through the rigging like he’d been born up there. His feet landed solidly on the top level of the mizzenmast as he released the rope he’d been climbing before. He shimmied down the central support beam and dropped to the deck with his usual grace; catlike and carefree. “Are we going to take her, Captain? She looks like a merchant ship and she has no escort.”
“Could be a military ship,” Geralt grunted, handing the younger man his cutlass. “Did you see any other flags?”
“Nope, just the flag of an Aedirn Merchant vessel, first class.”
“Hmm. Sounds fat indeed.”
“Captain?” the first mate asked, approaching the two men with his own sword handy. “The men heard him shouting. They want to know what your plan is.”
“Load the port side canons and run up the Red X, Eskel. If they think we’re in need of assistance then they won’t put up much of a fight when we board. Make sure the men load the canons below decks where they won’t be seen by any curious spyglasses.”
“Aye, Captain,” Eskel nodded. He rushed to call orders to the others.
“We’ll eat well tonight,” Jaskier beamed. He was practically dancing in place.
“Jask,” the Captain glowered.
“Right, of course. No getting un-captured. Don’t let anyone recognize me.”
“Hmm.” Geralt nodded. Then he turned to face the deck of his ship, which was quickly emptying of pirates. “All hands below decks! Arm the port side canons! Let’s go, lads, we want a fast fight and a long night, aye?”
A cheer went up as the band of men hurried to carry out their Captain’s orders. Jaskier sighed dreamily and gazed with adoring eyes at the white-haired pirate he’d so quickly fallen in love with. “Anything you say, Captain.”
“Sometimes I wonder why I keep you around,” the older man smirked. He wrapped an arm around Jaskier’s waist and pecked him quickly on the forehead. “Not worth the trouble of holding you for ransom.”
“If this was still about the ransom,” the nobleman-turned-pirate smirked back, equally confident now that he’d been aboard for nearly three months, “I wouldn’t be holding a sword and I wouldn’t be wearing your personal colors.”
“Shut up and get below before I lock you in my cabin for being so impertinent.”
“We’ll have plenty of time for that later.”
Geralt watched his little sea nymph disappear into the hold with the other members of his crew, hands already reaching to take a canonball from Lambert. He’d been so excited to escape his dreary life as a noble. Even though piracy was dangerous and could lead to many a painful death, Jaskier chose him and his crew over comfort. Every single day. At every port they stopped at for supplies, Geralt asked if the young man wanted to stay aboard or send his ransom letter home to Lettenhove Estate.
He always chose to sign back onto the crew.
Davy Jones take me now, the pirate Captain smiled. This blue eyed siren of a lad may yet prove to be the death of me.
