Shade thought for a moment, he was super picky about his vegetables as stated but didn't hate them. " Weeeeell.... alright, I'm game for that. If you want, I could also order a small veggie lovers for you too? " he offered, knowing the answer but he figured it would be rude if he didn't at least offer.

“Is that so,” Aries questioned as she began setting out the fruits and vegetables to start preparing the little birthday dinner. She giggled knowing how Shade was not the biggest fan of vegetables and was trying to subtly suggest a meal plan. Of course, just because it was her birthday did not mean that she was going to force Shade to eat foods that he did not like.

What to do? What to do? Even though Aries could prepare this meal any day, she was quite looking forward to eating it today and already procured all the necessary ingredients. It would be a shame to let them go to waste.

“How about this,” she finished chopping the carrot that she had started moments before, “you order a small pizza that you would think that would complement the meal? But, you have to at least try what I’m making.” She was determined to better integrate vegetables into his diet. That seemed like a fair compromise, some extra food if he ended up not liking the dish, but not enough to completely overtake her previous plans.

“Does that sound okay to you, Shade?”

“We can also have pizza on your birthday”

“Obviously, I give the best hugs, objectively speaking.”

" Sure, I'll take a slice! " Shade gives a smile, wondering how good of a cook she is.

"I made a cake, who would like a slice?"

" Eh?! " Shade was kinda caught off guard by her drunken confession, proof being the light blush that appeared on his face. " W-Well thank you very much, Aries. You are rather beautiful and sweet yourself. " he said as he pats the spirit's head.

It was not easy for Aries to get drunk off of alcohol from the human world, but here she was. Slightly buzzed and she had the widespread blush to prove it.

Aries let out a giggle.”Shaaaade,” she sang out before letting out an other giggle. “H-have... Have I ever told you how sweet and handsome that I th-think you are?”

He did want to surprise her after all. Hearing her request the vampire leans down to her. " Yes? " he asked, curious about what she would do next.

“Oh, hi,” Aries greeted Shade as he walked up to her. She was expecting a verbal greeting in return, but was caught off guard with his choice. It wasn’t unwelcomed, it even brought a smile to her face and she lightly touched the cheek that he kissed while a slight blush formed. 

“Well th-that was a nice surprise. Come here, please,” she motioned for him to lean closer so she could return the gesture.

Aries' eyes were growing heavy as the night grew later and later. There were many stars in the sky at this point, not as many as the spirit world, but still many. While she did know Santa was for kids, it was an experience she never had before and wanted to try even all that happens that she loses a few hours of sleep.
