Happy Canada Day Weekend!! 🇨🇦 • If you are having a whisky to celebrate I think an expression from the Tobermory Distillery would be the PERFECT fit! • In my opinion it could be Canada’s Single Malt Scotch Whisky! • I say so because two HISTORIC areas of Canada are named after the home of this Distillery, The Isle of Mull! • Tobermory, Ontario being one as due to similar harbour conditions it was named after Tobermory the capital of the Isle of Mull in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. • In 1876, Colonel James MacLeod, named Fort Calgary after Calgary House, a castle at Calgary Bay on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. When we were searching for the PERFECT location to host the Sláinte to Dad whisky dinner we knew that once we found Arthur’s Restaurant it was the one.

This restaurant holds a particular amount of SENTIMENTAL value, as it pays tribute to the incredible man who inspired Steven Salm (President, Chase Hospitality Group) in every facet of life. His father, Arthur Salm.

When Arthur passed, he left a massive collection of letters, stamps, flyers and newspaper clippings to his son — ephemera that now coats the walls of Arthur’s, in rows and rows of gilded frames.

Take a moment today and raise a glass to all the Dads out there. Those who are with us and those in memory.
