helloooo, beloved churchgoers!

i am mimic. you all knew that. however! i wanted to elaborate a bit on myself, my interests, yada yada.

i'm, obviously, very interested in liminal spaces, the backrooms, and nostalgia, most of my interests have to do with these things, but some i have in particular are:

old commercials, from the 2000s mostly but also the 80s-90s. i love sleazy marketing, poor camera quality, and useless products from infomercials.

Showbiz Pizza. the entire franchise. animatronics and themed family restaurants are some of my favorite things ever.

my favorite television show is Joe Pera talks with you. i love adult swim shorts as well, along with a bunch of older shows.

Stores and franchises that no longer exist. i am unhealthily obsessed with dying nostalgia, especially if it's retail related. the liminality of stores like blockbuster is my favorite.

department stores! oh, how i love department stores. couldn't tell you why.

i do wonder… how does one enter liminal space? how did you get to be there? how would someone go to visit?

you don't want to visit. you can't enter on your own will.. if the dreamscape wants you, it will swallow you whole. your reality will split open and you will disappear into nothing. only.. nothing is actually here with me. it's kind of my job to help those who end up here. bah, anyways.. you can't, and well.. shouldn't enter the dreamscape willingly.

perhaps you could find a portal if you looked hard enough. a tear in the wallpaper. misplaced tile. a piece of the sky missing. doubt it, though.

hi mimic. recently, me and my legal guardian are having issues with where we're currently living. and we have to move. we're moving to a whole other state, ive never been even slightly outside the state ive been born in.

do you have any advice to help with moving related anxiety?

Well, firstly, mimic is so sorry you're in such a situation. moving to a place youve nevwr been, never experienced is incredibly scary.

please, remember bravery is when you're scared, so scared, but you have the courage to go on anyways. i want you to try your very best to be brave.

moving itself is sort of a liminal space. liminality being between two places, moving somewhere you've never been can feel empty and very lonely. i have been in this situation before, so i really do understand. if you have comfort objects, take them with you if you can. and don't be afraid to speak your mind. if you're uncomfortable somewhere, let it be known.

i want nothing but happiness and comfort for you, my friend. it will be okay, really.

there's nothing outside the windows. they call me in to sweep an area, report entities.. but theres never anything there. i'm starting to feel more alone by the day. the only way i can tell time is passing is from reports sent to me by the ASD. how do i find an exit when there is NO exit?
